Wtf

Didn't they just get CJ Henderson???

How tf they only give up crumbs but when we wanna trade, we gotta give up 3rds and 4th round picks or higher?

Not sure Henderson is worth that much anyway, Jax gave up on him after a year and Now Carolina is going after someone else after only having him For a week.

New GM Scott Fitterer said he'd be in on all trades...he wasn't lying.

Mcaffrey is slowly becoming a luxury to them here. They are making big moves.

Yep, released due to $9million remaining salary and they got a pick instead of nothing…

Meh, Gilmore is 31 and on the last year of his contract. He's also unhappy with his current contract and wanted an extension (main reason the patriots were getting rid of him). He's either a less than 1 year rental or you're going to have to extend him for substantial money.

Roby is 29 and under contract through next season at a palatable 10 million cap hit.

Gilmore was also going to be released.

Carolina is all in...trying to match-up with TB's receiving corps.

Don't matter because they gave up nothing to get him

Unlike us giving up a 3rd for a guy who barely played so far

Gilmore is a good player. but coming off surgery and has not participated in a single practice since last season and will enter a new system.

he isn't gonna pay off right away I would imagine. 2023 is where this trade becomes a big win imo.

Gilmore was also just recently the Def player of the year and an all pro. Roby has no where near the resume of him.

Just saying a third rounder is very valuable. That’s a good value round to get players. A 6th is almost a throwaway pick. If he’s healthy and returns to form, no one in their right mind would take Roby over Gilmore.

I like Roby, but would have preferred to get Henderson with our third. He is on a rookie contract for years and will not be making anything but still has great potential.

Saints could not have gotten Gilmore. They had almost no cap room, and while they paid a decent price for Roby, the Texans also inexplicably ate like 90% of his salary to make it happen.

Saints are basically paying him peanuts whereas Carolina is going to take a $9 Million hit if/when Gilmore comes of the PUP list.

Saints have no firepower, cannot pull the trigger, and are destined to fail.

He is most of their offense. Dj moore is really good but that team is built to run the ball.

They are building a really nice d.
