Fact is, Saints fans got spoiled with Drew.

Incredible QB play became then norm.

Sadly, when Father Time started slowing him down, many of those fans turned on him.

Many turned on him in a very ugly way.

Many of those guys who have a Super Bowl ring because of Brees stuck an knife and his back in the name of race and Politics.

Hope everyone that took Brees for granted enjoys mediocrity, because if the best we have is Dalton and Winston, mediocrity is the best we can hope for.

Can't help but wonder if Ruiz really is better at center and would it make the line better to flip him and McCoy

You can also acknowledge Drew was elite until Father Time hit him like a Mack truck and he couldn’t throw the ball more than 10 yards down the field.

Drew caught hate from both sides of the social war when he naively talked about kneeling for the anthem. He caught hate from one side, then caught hate from the other when he began barking pandering.

Ultimately, his physical decline pushed him out, not a fan base being ungrateful towards him.

^This, don’t forget both sides hated him

And also Drew should have been smarter than to touch that subject at that point in time.

Jameis might be the worst starting qb in the NFL at the short passing game which is the biggest strength of MT,Jarvis and Kamara. So having a qb better at that would help the offense out.

Drew sold out to the Cancel culture community for the sake of saving face and his pocket book.

Maybe you forget: The woke, racist morons made sure that you HAD to opine on that subject.

Silence was violence, remember?

I'm somewhere in the middle. Jameis is not good, and you can't blame it all on the injuries, and while I recognize that Dalton would not be the savior, there's really no excuse for him not to be better than Jameis at this time.

Now a healthy Jameis vs Dalton? That's another debate for another day, but at this very moment I have to believe Dalton would be better.

Dalton won’t change anything. Subbing him in maybe buys DA sone time to maybe survive through the end of the season but he’s not good enough to turn this team’s fortunes around

Lol is that true? I haven’t heard Brady’s comment on it, how about the mannings? Aaron Rodgers? I can keep going but you get my drift. Your reasoning here is bullshite but keep throwing blame around for Drew not being aware

The ignorance on this thread is overwhelming.
It will be a long time before we have anyone close to the talent of Drew Brees. If you cannot tell that Winston is terrible you do not really understand the game.

You said silence was violence and people were forced to comment on it. It was a yahoo representative at an event dealing nothing with football that asked Brees the question

You know our qb play is bad when we are screaming for Andy Dalton to start

Winston is better than Dalton. It’s okay to criticize Winston for the many struggles he has but screaming for Dalton to come in is ignorant armchair GM talk.

Thats probably true, but there's no excuse not to try. You are literally forcing the issue with a guy with 4 broken ribs.

It was “gotcha journalism” that got Brees
