I think she will just stay out of the way and let the front office take care of day to day operations like what's been going as of late. Nobody can be naive enough to think Tom was having any daily involvement in football or business operations given his age and declining health over recent years. Gayle would be stupid to ruin the cash cow she has going here or risk never being welcome in Louisiana ever again if she moved the team.

Here’s what I’ve been told about what happens next.
- The Saints and Pelicans are on solid ground
- They are not selling
- They are not moving
- Gayle Benson has been approved by both leagues
- The transition will be seamless since Tom Benson set it up and planned for this

Dennis Lauscha, Greg Bensel, and Mickey Loomis already run the team. I wouldn’t be shocked if they all get an ownership stake.
