This is the most important aspect of the case for just about everyone and the more that comes out the worse that Smith, the Saints and the city look.

Listen, nothing Will Smith did the other night made killing him and shooting his wife reasonable. But I must say, causing a hit and run and then mentioning a weapon in the midst of a heated argument isn't particularly good behavior. The night it happened everyone thought it was this crazy thug shot Will Smith over a stupid fender bender and our coach decided it was his place to talk about banning all guns and the QB decided to talk about how he was mad at the city and everyone is talking about how much of a shithole New Orleans is and we're building memorials on the street but you know what?

we all look bad over it. Payton maybe should've kept his mouth shut now that his boy was carrying too, not that there's anything wrong with that. And maybe Brees should've kept his mouth shut now that it appears Smith may have committed a series of shitty actions that escalated the situation, even though he didn't deserve to get shot. And the citizens look like a total bunch of assholes because as near as I can until unless you are a Saint or a baby caught in the crossfire New Orleanians don't give a frick who or how many people get murdered.

Thats an opinion. Smith just as likely could have slammed on his brakes causing the chasing hummer to run into him

It was reported that Hayes hit the Mercedes hard enough to push it 15 feet from the point of impact and drive it into the Impala in front.

You are trying way too hard.

lets be real here. The police are not going to allow a gun in plain sight found at the scene of a murder remaining sitting in the car while a wrecker company hauls it away to impound.

Get out of this thread with that logic!

What about under the damn seat? That doesn't seem that far fetched.

If the gun is under the seat or in the center console I think that helps Hayes

If it was somewhere else in the car It makes things a whole lot more difficult for Hayes

you would think you wouldnt keep saying that

The NOPD explicitly said no visible gun was found. That point is done. Here is the part where you're going to continue to be a jackass and not concede.

So they don't magically fall in between a seat and console of a G wagon. There isn't enough space.

Could have made its way to the floor board behind the seat.. Or it could have been locked in the glovebox. None of us know right now

While a dumb stand your ground law may afford this guy some cover for his alleged shooting of 2 people, no decent person other than his defense attorney (who is bound by oath) should be trying to defend what is morally indefensible. The confrontation was entirely avoidable the moment Smith's car drove around the Hummer. The most reasonable and obvious choice in the bump and run was not to pursue the offending vehicle.

Completely legal.

Fully loaded = not fired.

It does when you consider the significant power harnesses under the seats of luxury cars like that.

The floor board of the back seat isn't visible now?

There's plenty enough room under the seat for a gun to be placed or become lodged. Have you actually owned one of these vehicles?

So now you've changed your argument from it falling to being placed somewhere out of sight. Are you beginning to agree with me but not wanting to admit to it?

There was a passenger in the car with Hayes, three passengers in the car with Smith, several more in the Impala, and several on the street who witnessed the altercation and shooting yet no one is claiming Smith pulled a gun and Hayes is still being charged with murder.

But you're probably right. Smith could have pulled a gun on Hayes and it just fell between the seats and the NOPD detectives simply didnt see it.

No, that isn't the most reasonable. Most people would want to get the license plate number.

All im saying is its totally possible that a gun could have been retrieved then somehow made its way out of sight after being dropped..

Just a possibility, thats all

1 thing I can def say Hayes is at fault for is following him and ramming back into him. Couldve just got his license plate number and moved on. then we'd see Smith arrested for hit and run on Nola.com instead of murdered.

Im glad you now recognize that as a possibility in the realm of possibilities

When you can offer a plausible defense under the law by saying you were threatened or felt threatened and you can kill the one witness who might disagree that he/she is a threat, that's a dumb law. I'm sorry you don't like to hear it.
