If the Saints do go TE in round 1

Most of the TE's don't have round 1 draft grades. If you really want a TE why not trade back into the 2nd round for extra picks? Trade your 1st rounder for a 2nd & either a 3rd or 4th. No way that Gesicki, Goedert, and Hurst are all drafted by the early to mid 2nd so you would be able to at least draft one of them, plus get an extra pick out of it.

I don’t want a te in round 1. The value isn’t there. We’d be reaching based on need, a very bad draft strategy

Without a #2 right now I like, at pick 27, LB Vander Esch or TE Dallas Goedert.

He's an elite mover for a 291lb man. Cam was similar so not sure how that is depressing

For me, if available I'd like to see O at 27.

Even if we don't sign Suh, I don't see that. We've still got Rankins, Davison, Onyemata. We can sign a vet for the 4th in rotation. We need another pass catcher and or DE more than DT. I'd even take a highly ranked LB at that spot over a DT.

With offseason moves thus far, they are really in a very flexible position. They really can take the best available & get a quality player that improves the team. I lean to TE-WR, but if a LB slips, take him.

Funny NFL compares him to Cam.

Athletically and size-wise he is a comparison. However, this is a bit worrisome:

Jordan

Jordan is one of the higher-probability, game-ready prospects in this class.

Bryan

He's starter level talent but I don't think that is going to be next year. He's out here getting by on his AA (athletic ability) but he doesn't have enough feel for the game yet. That doesn't happen overnight."

Jordan came from a great pedigree and clearly understood the game.

This guy....

...might attempt to eat the goalpost

I know it won't be popular, but at 27 I'm starting to think that the BEST pick might be to take the top guard in the draft if he is on the board.

Last year we took Ramczyk and everyone threw their hands up, but he played a huge role in the season.

Taking the top guard replaces a key player in Kelemete and gives you some line depth and a chance to develop.

Obviously a person to step in at guard if an injury occurs to Peat or Warford, but also if an injury occurs to Ramczyk or Armstead (Which we know will happen) then Peat can slide outside and the guard can take his place.
We are elite at QB, RB and WR1, we are acceptable in the other skill positions.

O line depth is never sexy, but it always pays off.

I opened the link finally and looked at the entire mock. That's interesting he has Baker Mayfield going to Arizona at 15. Wonder what it would cost to get ahead at 14 if he did fall. They would have to try.
