Blows my mind he's an analyst - who gives af about what this bald bumpkin thinks. His white trash commitment to wearing hoodies under his sports coat is unrivaled.

Biggest fallacy of the who dat nation is that there are no saints fans north of Alexandria.

There are plenty of Saints fans in northern Louisiana. I never understood this line of thinking.

Not sure why any of this is surprising.

Correct

Many Saints fans live in their tiny bubble

They have idea how many people in Baton Rouge don’t give one frick about the Saints or NOLA

Rams tackle Andrew Whitworth says Saints’ anger over non-call is ‘an excuse'

quote:

The Monroe native and former LSU standout believes the complaints about the non-call by referee Bill Vinovich’s crew are strictly sour grapes. He told Rich Eisen on his Rich Eisen Radio Show on Tuesday that there were a number of missed calls in the game and the Rams deserved to win the game.

Look, all he had to do was keep his mouth shut, and play, he knew how Saints fans felt about what happened.

I respect what he does for people with his foundation, and he deserves the respect for it. But I lost respect for how he handled that situation with Saints fans.

He probably is, not doubting it, and I'll admit I don't know the guy on a personal level, but people say shite they shouldn't and it stuck in my craw at the time, and it still pisses me off. I'm sure one day I'll get over it.

That particular play made me unlike something that I loved for years.

So he does believe the refs did a shite job? Even if he believes the Rams deserve to win (I disagree of course), he admitted the refs couldn’t do their job well. So why don’t they deserve to be criticized? ESPECIALLY considering it was the NFC CG not some random regular season game

Do you have a link to anything supporting this? I suspect you're right but I'd like confirmation

I've seen some tweets of his so I'd go check his X history. Not sure if he's deleted any or not.

West Monroe even gave him his own day
quote:

The City of West Monroe says February 18 has been proclaimed as Andrew “Big Whit” Whitworth Day. Everyone is encouraged to wear blue and gold, the colors of Whitworth’s team, the Los Angeles Rams. A celebration will take place at city hall at 4 p.m.

No one wants to admit this but the Rams outplayed the Saints in the 2018 NFC title game. The Saints win the game if that penalty was called but the Saints didn't play any better (or as well). I know the Rams had a big edge in total offense.

That's when I stopped caring about NFL football. I used to get excited for every game and would watch a couple games every weekend, not just the Saints. Now I pretty much just watch the highlights, and feel totally numb about whether we won or lost.
