Fourth Down on Four after Mini Camp

Fourth down on Four

Couple of Hot Takes

Sean’s take on naming Kentavius Street as the starter at DT next to DO!
He’s now reunited wit Ryan Nielsen, who recruited him n was his D line Coach at NCST! Street credits Nielsen wit his development as a player n a person n is excited to be back under him!

-Devery Henderson to the Saints HOF

-Mattheus Safety position and what he brings

-Fred McaFee to the Saints HOF. Pretty good segment on what hes been up too.

Another lil segment that caught my eye was the one on Kirk Merritt. The WR room is really stacked this year. But seems like the former Destrehan star has been holding his on so far.

He’s got nice size, about 6’ and 215 lbs. But his athleticism is off the charts: a 4.33 forty, 23 reps, an insane 49 in vertical n 135 in broad at his Pro Day!
The Running back coach recruited him.

-Saints will enter training camp with 12 recievers this year.

starters aren't super important to me as the rotations and depth as whole. It way, it bodes well for the group that was a bit of a concern.

I expect Shy Tuttle to start. He has forever secured a starting spot due to his jack hammer stiff arm of Matt Ryan.

Merritt has always been athletic as frick… just not a great route runner and hands are too inconsistent to be truly relied upon

Shy Tuttle

The guys a massive body in the trenches and a great run stuffer but he’s impressed me with his pass rushing and ability to stand up blockers. I’d love to see him more consistent as a pass rusher though. I think the missing key to our defensive line is consistent interior pressure
