I feel like he would have been much better if the Yahoo Finance article wasn’t blown out of proportion. It unfortunately altered/hindered his natural public persona.

Idk that he would have ever been great at it, but I do think it changed him.

There is a political board you can post your garbage rant on.

The man holding the highest office in the world is a brain dead potato, so what the hell are you talking about?

the only Fallout from Drew, is the fallout fabricated by people that looked for something to be outraged about.

it really would be a better society if people minded their own fricking business and stopped trying to find every little thing to tear others down about? don't agree with it that is your choice, but continually bitching about it and bringing it up does nothing but give you a false sense of superiority.

It's amazing to me how bold and brave people are with their opinions when they have no skin in the game. I may not fully agree with how Brees handled the situation but I fully understand why he did what he did. How about we start judging people by throwing out everything good that they ever did and judging them by the one or two big mistakes they made in life. I wonder how many of us are left standing?

Brees caved in, and most will not forget that!

He would hard to trust as an elected official.

Crazy how quickly people will turn on you. Brees was put in an impossible situation and hung out to dry by his teammates and the entire Saints organization.

Including and most of all CSP. As a head coach he did nothing to get the team situation under control and help his future HOF quarterback.

Maybe it’s not the money or fame that meant the most to him. Maybe it was his legacy as a football player. Maybe it was his goal of winning another Super Bowl for the Saints. Had he stood firm, he would’ve lost the locker room and got shredded in the media. It wouldn’t have made any meaningful difference otherwise. The “90 percent” of you will still carry on about athletes keeping their political opinions to themselves unless they share your opinions and then it’s okay. Keep the same energy.

I mean, if I were him I’d have retired back to San Diego already having made $245mm from my football contracts alone the second New Orleans retards marched in the streets chanting “frick Drew Brees!”

But, I understand why he bent the knee - there was $25mm left on the table. I don’t hate him for it.

Have a upvote. He would be hard to trust because he said what he thought he should say to keep the team together and go to another SB.

I understand why he did it but I would have found another way.

That's the problem though, kneeling or not kneeling, Jacob Blake and everything else had nothing to do with his legacy as a Football Player. Because he chose to kneel or not to appease his teammates does not affect HIS performance on the field. It was either about the money or shows he is a weak man. You won't agree with either but this bullshite about his legacy is laughable

Maybe, he shouldn't have had to, but I understand what the man was going through. It's basically a you're damned if you do or don't analogy. He probably should have just held firm to his opinion, but it caused a lot of ill or hard feelings with his teammates, black teammates like Jenkins. And so Brees heard them out and I guess basically was just trying to keep the peace on his own team. He didn't want any dissension on his team being that he was a captain and all, so, he just tried to keep the peace even though it wasn't a popular decision. But now he's been villainized for that stance by his fan base, blacks (for previous stance) as well as others. It would have been better if he didn't say anything at all. Lol
