Atlanta is a major hub city. It isn't anything to look at, but to say it is a shite hole is laughable

Have you been there before? I just left that area and that city is awesome. NO has culture and pride in it's city. Ask 5 random people in downtown ATL who the Falcons are and they'll laugh at you.
