Especially around New Orleans.

Team's still trying to unload (I suspected this a week ago), and plenty of season ticket holders who are getting the call, don't want/can't afford to get them. I see prices dropping quickly on Ticket Exchange, so don't be the sucker to buy at double face value or more. Hopefully you haven't been that guy.

economy is going to greatly affect this superbowl as far as ticket sales, hotel occupancy, etc.

I am seeing the same thing. Had multiple offers to go. If I didn't blow my wad on the NFCCG tickets, I would be there.

Apparently made more available to season ticket holders today, as they've seemingly done every day this week.

I know of 4 sold in my apartment building (in Miami) yesterday for $200/each. Of course, I didn't find out about it until after the fact!

I challenege you to prove the title of this thread....

I just talked to a smart young lad named Thomas at the Saints Ticket office and he said they are all done with everything.

100% False

(504) 731-1700 - then press #2

Just got an email from a season ticket holder, offering them as such, saying they are available today. I'm pretty sure a 55 year old man ain't just fricking around. Sorry if it cuts into your potential profits.

Again, (504) 731-1700, then press 2 to speak to a rep. This is 100% false. Misinformation galore.

I can prove what I am saying - calling direct outweighs you saying a buddy got an email.

I don't know what you mean by that, but if you are implying I am a broker of some sorts, you are once again 100% false.

I'm about as far from being "people who know people" as you can get and I'm not a season ticket holder, and this is the third offer I've gotten for face value tickets this week.

Believe what you will, I could care less. Just putting out the word on what I'm seeing.

If you're out to swindle folks, and are able to do so, more power to you.

If you're someone who got swindled, I'm sorry to hear it.

If you're none of the above, I'm not sure why you'd give a shite either way.

I just don't like all the misinformation out there. I challenge you to call the Saints ticket office and upon them telling you the same thing they have told everyone else, tell one of them about your friend's email. It'll be a good laugh for them. They deserve it after these past 2 hectic weeks.

tigerfan .. i just had a friend call and invite me to go with them this morning .. he bought four through a longtime saints ticket holder for $800 each last night ... what Y.A. is saying is true .. a lot of season ticket holders can't afford them and are turning them down, or don't wanna tell the saints no and are just bringing friends with them to buy the tickets at face value ... it is now wednesday and the prices are dropping significantly ... a lot of the corporate types will hit miami tomorrow with tickets in hand that they didn't pay for and will start flooding the market over there with $400 and $500 tickets .. that word gets back here and kills the price too ... i didn't realize you were reselling .. i thought you were just buying for yourself ?

what are you getting so pissed about ?? common sense would tell you that ticket prices go down the closer you get to an actual game .. have you never been to a super bowl before ?

10 times the atmosphere, really? Different atmosphere for sure, but 10 times better? Sounds likes someone trying to convince himself it's better not to be at the game.

tickets to the Super Bowl are very easy to get and not as expensive as one might think. The real problem is plane tickets, rental cars and hotel rooms at the site

here is the approximate breakdown of ticket distribution:

NFL Sponsors/Partners 25%
NFL Teams 30% (about 800 per team x 29 teams)
Stadium Group (locals) 10%
AFC Team Fans 15%
NFC Team Fans 15%
Host Team 5%

so needless to say there are always tons of tickets available at the Site

Bingo. Many local folks figured this out the hard way this week, and are either biting the bullet on all the ancillary expenses, or thowing up their hands and trying to unload their tickets now. It shouldn't have been that hard to realize this would happen for a good number of folks, that the logistics of actually getting there were much more than one might have initially thought, given as many tickets at the Saints actually got, and the state of the economy as a whole.

Dude, tickets are available at face value. I've turned some down. Could be that the Saints ticket office isn't handling them, but that's not the same as Ticket Exchange.
