Maybe something, maybe nothing.

quote:

“The wildest rumor I heard this week? Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo potentially pairing with New Orleans. This would be a surprise since many around the league expect Jameis Winston to return to the Saints. But if Rodgers and Wilson aren’t moved, Garoppolo becomes one of the top options available. Maybe New Orleans at least kicks this idea around.”

Goodell and Wilson meet at the SB (seen on camera) Wilson got the ok that since SP is gone the Saints would get fair treatment. Before Wilson agreed to the trade. Both teams have trade history as does Loomis with that organization.

I hear Brees is going to Cleveland because it’s close to Purdue…

Who is he going to throw to?

You know how many drive killing drops we had last year?

Enough to kill our playoff chances.

Wouldn’t hate as a FA pickup, but as a trade you’re basically locking him in as your future QB and I don’t see him being a long term solution

Garoppolo makes us the front runner in the Division. I’d really like it, pickup another wide receiver and make a run at it!

Jimmy G could thrive here

Just sayin

As long as it isn’t Bridgewater, I’m good

Would be a huge improvement over corny arse Jameis and would be hilarous to see the melt from the Jameis stans on this board who are expecting this guy to become something he's never been his 8th year in the league.

Exactly! Get him a few more options at wideout and let’s go back to a ground and pound west coast style offense like the Niners. Pair that with our defense and we’re in the thick of things.

I actually think he’s a good fit. Price is a little high though

I dont think he is worth trading for

the only way I would be ok with it is if we strike out with Winston in FA

in addition to being unable to trade for Wilson or Rodgers(I dont think either is happening but on the off chance)

I would rather Jimmy G over Bridgewater or the remaining FA crop though

hopefully it doesnt come to this situation

also while I may not be high on the QB draft class I dont really know what the scouts see and if there is a legitimate option there as well

IDK its going to be a wild offseason

Yes. That is very very very wild indeed

Jimmy G is garbage. If you think he's better than Jameis you're crazy. He had Deebo Kittle and Aiyuk and still put up lackluster numbers.

Winston is much better, IMO.

Also, wouldn't require trading.

Honest question, who here has said jameis is going to be this super quarterback? Or do you just assume that based on people wanting him to start over Taysom?

And FYI, Sean Payton told his biggest lie when he said taysom reminded him of Steve Young

Even if JW isn’t “much better,” he’d be cheaper money wise, wouldn’t require a trade (apparently they’re looking to get a 2nd rounder for Jimmy G), and he either had surgery or is about to have surgery that’s gonna keep him from throwing for at least 16 weeks. Big no from me. If the roles were reversed, I’d take Jimmy G, but they’re not, so no thanks.
