First off, ugh.
How is a quarterback gonna come in mid season and learn the playbook to any satisfactory degree?
Taysom v. Trevor is a reasonable debate. Cam would just be a costly distraction.

Most people have no idea as to why you can’t plug and play a QB. It’s hard enough to plug and play a kicker. Cam is done.

It took Brees a couple seasons to completely learn SPs playbook. They think Scam is gonna come in and run it? These people get paid to say dumb shite on TV

I'd try to bring in Rivers. He threw for 4k yards with 24 TDs last year.
Give him 3-4 weeks to learn the playbook before any game action and start final six games to get in rhythm for playoff push.

This is surely the next step. They are only waiting to see if we'll go out and sign someone other than Kaepernick first so they can immediately dunk on us. Makes no sense to argue we're racists for not signing him if we don't sign anyone.

Newton is bad. I don’t think Taysom Hill is a very good every down throwing quarterback. And I think Cam is a crappier version of Hill at this point.
