Carolina's problems will be mostly mental.
3 straight division titles and a SB loss hangover are things that can linger with you much longer than you want them to.
They are the best team on paper in the division however they also did very little to get better from last year to this year. (that is how teams catch up to you)
Spending your no.1 pick on a player at your most loaded position along with losing your best DB does not make your defense better.
They were very fortunate in terms of health a year ago as well(outside of the KB injury).
Also their offense just isn't really scary or consistent.

I think we will see major regression from Carolina this year as we do with most super bowl losers. I think their pass rush will still be solid, but their secondary will be much more porous. Their offense will be inconsistent. They will still compete for the division, but likely only finish around 9-7 or 10-6. This will open more room for The Saints and Falcons to compete. I don't see Tampa improving much, if at all, nor do I see the Falcons improving. I think this will be yet another year where the division is fairly balanced from top to bottom with only a game or two separating the division winner from sitting home in the playoffs.

The draft is just a game of chance. If they think Butler has the greatest chance of panning out, you take him.
With their pass rush, we don't know how big that Norman loss will be felt. There are some who think he was more a product of the system, we shall soon see.
They will get their #1 receiver back for next year and I expect their offense will show additional improvement.
They have a great defense and a good QB. That is a recipe for success.

How the hell will tampa not improve? They adressed their biggest needs in Free agency and in the draft. The additions of Robert Ayers and Brent Grimes and drafting Vernon Hargreaves and Noah Spence will dramatically improve the defense. Jameis will only get better after having whole year under his belt to go along with by far the best running back in the NFC south.

Because I don't want it to be true that the only competition the Saints will be in will be in is for cellar dweller in the NFC South

Tampa wins free agency and the draft every offseason. It hasn't translated into much for them.

They haven't had a quarterback since Jeff Garcia and now they do.

I really like your team setup going forward. However, this year will be a growing pain year. Like I've said before, 7-9.
I'd give Panthers 87%
Falcons 10%
Saints 1%
Bucs 2%
Next year, if Brees is able to keep his QB rating above 95 or so, you guys should easily be right there with Panthers. The Falcons are stuck where they are. They're not bad, just not good. Bucs are young and could surprise. Their offense will be inconsistent. Defense will be alright but nothing special.

"The saints are becoming the bottom feeders of the division once again. If some of you would take off your black and gold shades you would realize this. Also brees is no longer a championship caliber quarterback the guy is fading fast."
Fading Fast? Like leading the league in passing and missing out on 5,000 by 150 yards and led the league in comp% on passes over 20 yards?
You're clearly terribly misinformed, or a pathetic troll loser. Brees in not the problem. Brees is the closest thing to the answer on this team.
Saints will be better than many "pundits" and casual fans think.
10-11 wins is very reasonable.

Hey, ESPN has an agenda. They ran a misleading story about Loomis and bugging audio in the Dome. They follow click bait scripts. Those scripts originate right from the NFL home offices. I believe in knowing my enemy. But, I believe the assessment of our defense was spot on.

I think the 60% is low for the Panthers. They are far and away the best team in the division.
and we should have swept them, one of those being without Drew
It's the NFL, anyone can win the division

Already jumped on Saints at 10-1 to win the division (ATL/TB 7-1). Retarded odds when you consider the turnover on the team last season and what we have coming back
