We always fill all our holes in F.A, so we can go BPA in the draft. Also allows them to be aggressive and move up a bit to get a guy covet—like a Queen, perhap—that they don’t think will be there at 24, but may still be hanging out there at 18 or so.

I actually do feel a random corner coming but Terrell would just be a no from me. The Chase beating was too much.

Yeah they both got owned by chase so they’d pretty much get owned in the nfl imo especially in year 1

You said you thought Sam Hubbard would be a linebacker in the nfl just like urlacher, just because they both played safety in high school.
Then I pointed out that Hubbard was a down lineman and would be a lineman in the NFL

Lie if you want

Just because they signed Sanders doesn’t mean wide receiver still isn’t a need. He’s 33 and on a two year deal. That’s not a solution, but a stop gap at No. 2 — pretty much the same as Ginn was, although theyre different players the roles are still kinda the same.

I’m still in favor of taking Jefferson if he’s there. I just think he’s going to be really good for a long time in the NFL

Rewatching it the 12th guy wasn't running off, he ran on late and rushed the passer. They had 4 rushing and 8 dropped into coverage. I award no credit for that pick.

I am reading the thread right now. And just to make you feel even dumber than you are, This is literally what I said

quote:

The more i research Hubbard the more i like him. He has Brian Urlacher type athletic profile. Safety to LB to DE/LB eventually. I think his best football is ahead of him. You know we like those OSU guys too

quote:

Hubbard was an all state safety in HS who was projected to play LB at OSU, who has found his way now to the defensive line.

I watched the condensed version tonight, they didn’t show a replay but said 12 was running off. Don’t really care to argue over it . He’s a good player

So let’s recap

Nowhere did I say Hubbard was going to be just like urlacher

Or that he was strictly a LB

He had a damn good 2019 by the way.

Idiot.

Oh, I know we still need a WR. But it helps them go BPA at any position of need. I’d love Jefferson at 24 as well. But now they can sit and wait, knowing there will be somebody good still at 24. Or they could be aggressive like they often do and trade up to get a linebacker, one of the top 3 OTs, or even a QB they may like. It just gives them so much flexibility.

I wonder what the deal was with Butler last year. Great measurements, was supposed to be killing it during camp—and it seemed different than the typical WR camp hero report—only to barely be heard from all season. Hopefully he was hurt and we just didn’t know it, rather than them figuring out he was soft or couldn’t understand the offense, whatever.

My thoughts as well. Sanders gives them more flexibility at 24 and that’s bigger than anything right now.

Signing M.Jenkins, E.Sanders, bringing in J.Jenkins last year, and re-signing A.Peat & D.Onyemata gives us absolute flexibility to draft BPA.
Going into off-season our needs were WR2, LB, OL and S depending on what happened with V.Bell.
Only re-sign I would still love to see, hate if you want, but is PJ Williams. He’s still good in the slot, forces fumbles, can backfill at FS and don’t forget M.Williams is a FA at the end of next season and we not sure if he’s worth re-signing. I think PJ could be a great FS with his coverage skills, ability to force turnovers and willingness to be physical and tackle unlike M.Williams.
Even if we do not make any more key additions in FA at this point in draft we can go in any direction. My choice would now be LB, but even if we went TE, OL, WR, CB, S, QB literally any position you could make a case for

Why would I judge him based on scrub competition

Chase was probably the closest thing to an nfl wr he saw this year and he got owned

Just look at their schedule
