You think 44 was our only chance to get him?

I doubt he'll be having to cover many people since he'll be primarily pass rushing..

If you're that high on a player, you take him. Maybe he would've last until the next pick, but that's definitely not a certainty.any have said he's the best pure rusher of this class, Payton loves the guy.

Owa has as many injury concerns and isn't as good of a pass rusher.

Owa had one hip surgery that kept him out a year but that's pretty much it. He's been healthy otherwise his collegiate career. Kikaha has had 2 knee injuries. Much more worrisome IMO.

Plus, Owa is much, much better against the run tho. Plus a better athlete.

And Owa's was 2 years ago. I still think 2 knee injuries are more worrisome than one hip.

I'm not going to to defend why I like Owa over Kikaha. I watched the tape and read the reports and formed my own opinion. But it's over now, and a moot point.

I said in my original post I though Kikaha would be solid.

Agreed, and he was a 1st round talent. Most teams need 3 competent CBs these days, Browner won't be here very long.

didn't he have two surgeries on it though.

I like the way the draft is playing out. I'd give it a B to B+. I think they are filling team needs. All those who are freaking out over the lack of WR need to chill. Colston was a late 7th round pick and we just got done with round three. Sounds like the Rant in here.

B+
After reading more on PJ Williams think we've gotten 3 big time defensive contributors who'll play tons of snaps immediately. How the line will shake out is a concern but Peat was likely BPA and building the line isn't a bad thing. Time will tell how Grayson turns out, can't really judge now. WR and DL are still a concern.

QB in the 3rd was definitely a stretch. Like a poster said before, you are hoping he is the 2nd comming of Brees which is delusional if you ask me. But, you also don't expect to be In the bottom 5 of the league either the next 3 years so you might as well grab a QB you LOVE now if the value is right.

Don't hate on the other picks. But would have been happy with a "one on one" WR somewhere in the mix. Still high on Cooks but was hoping for a Jimmy/Colston hybrid type that we can utilize for mismatches agaiant smaller CBs.

I don't get all the hate this has been one of the better drafts in the last couple of years. Peat was somewhat of a stretch and we're full at tackle but he's still a solid player. Stephone Anthony is a pyshical freak and the leader of the #1 defense last year.

Kihaha is a sack machine who may not be the fastest but his size could help out with run support. PJ Williams was a complete steal and watching him during the season I thought he had first round talent. He's a physical corner who likes to hit and is instinctive in coverage and Grayson is an accurate passer who could be good under brees for a couple years.

I'd honestly rather be in that position and have a good qb under brees for a couple years than be stuck like a lot of teams hoping we land a qb in the draft that has to start in week 1. Hopefully tomorrow we can pick up a WR like deandre smulters who would be a complete steal.

Exactly man, I cannot stand when people say "Well we could have had ________ in the next round". How can people say that? That don't know shite. If a player is on your board that you want and in the spot you want him you take him. You don't wait and see if he's around for the next pick. That's ridiculous.

People need to be happy we haven't drafted like the Panthers. Trade away picks to move up and pick a WR with a +9% drop rate to go along with your other receiver who drops a ton. Also drafting Shaq Thomson in the first. Id give us an A++ compared to that shite

Overall B+

#13 Peat was a value pick with low risk

#31 Anthony is going to be a play maker and our leader on defense

#44 Kikaha gives us an edge guy that can pressure QBs

#75 Grayson was a completely blown pick. He won't play for 2-4 years and we talk about impact players. This pick is just Sean Payton being abmnbb

#78 PJ Williams is an absolute steal in the 3rd Round. Top 3 CB in my book in this draft.

I'm confused by the hate. Peat has the potential to be the best OT in the draft, Anthony play at ILB on Day 1, an ultra productive pass rusher, and a pretty good corner in the 3rd round. A potential future QB is just extra at this point.

A WR ain't a big deal in the early rounds with the ones we find and as long as Brees has his protection now.

People are only happy when the draft turns out like their favorite mock draft. This has been a great draft and I agree with your entire post. Well said.
