I think Drew is still in a great position. If passing yards & TD’s make an MVP, Drew would’ve won it multiple times. There’s other factors to look at.

I seriously doubt that if the Cheifs finish 12-4 and are the 5 seed in the AFC, that Mahomes will have a shot against Brees if we are 14-2. Team record is a huge factor.

With the Chiefs losing I think they’ll also look at record. They could easily lose again @Seattle next week and finish 12-4 and the 5 seed while the Saints are 14-2 and the 1 seed.

Like others mentioned, if passing yards and touchdowns were all that mattered then Brees would already have multiple MVP awards. It’s the QB Rating, low interceptions, completion percentage, and team record that voters consider most important.
