Just what would you have Brees do? He walked back his comments regarding kneeling in protest. Would you have the man lose his businesses due to looting, riots, and arson? Have him leave Louisiana after he retires, and relocate his business ventures to other states?

He's building a Surge Entertainment Center in West Monroe, LA. The 43,000 square-ft. facility will stretch across 40 acres on Mane Street by the Ike Hamilton Expo Center. It includes a 22-lane bowling alley, full swing golf simulators, laser tag, a rope and ninja course, a climbing wall, 50-game arcade and a full-service restaurant and bar. He already has a Walk-Ons located in the city.

People here need to get over their butt hurt, and realize that Brees has been great for this state, and is investing in our state with meaningful businesses and providing much needed jobs in those communities.

I get what your saying but the damage is done.

Simply saying the general public needs to get over it will not alter the reality of the situation.

When things calm down a bit, a quick quiet sale of all his Louisiana businesses makes the most business sense.

The climate in the country needs to change before he starts investing anywhere.

It is a very sad state of affairs.

Why does he need to sell all of his business holdings?

Break it down.

This isn't the first time Brees has pledged support to causes, and it will likely not be his last. Through The Brees Dream Foundation, there's been over $33 million contributed globally to charitable causes.

All of his charitable contributions could not save him from getting cancelled.

He makes one more inadvertent remark and his businesses are boycotted, cancelled, and subject to a fire sale.

You sell those businesses quietly before the next perceived slight.

The value is practically zero when rioters are directed to cancel your businesses.

That wasn’t going to happen. He had tons of people who were supporting him. Those who weren’t didn’t share his values anyway. They were trying to capitalize on his comments.

He chose to piss on those that were aligned with him and pacify those that are opposed to his value system. He deserves every ounce of criticism he gets.

If this was a choice for me, id wake up tomorrow and be over it. Easy choice. Id love to not have this pit in my stomach regarding one of my favorite things for my entire life.

Its not a choice. Its how i feel. Its heartbreaking.

Im hoping that it fades and I can enjoy it again.

But man....right now i have anger and disgust and its not something i choose to feel or have the ability to choose NOT to feel.

Id assume a lot of people are with me.

Ordinary Americans are sacrificing their livelihoods and businesses because they refuse to bend the knee. I wish Brees had their courage.

Apples and oranges comparison.

I have written businesses plans for successful companies.

Brees is perceived as an individual and not like Chick-fil-A.

Chick-fil-A has been under attack for many reasons by special interest groups for quite sometime.

Chick-fil-A requires its own unique business strategy.

No one is suggesting that Chick-fil-A go out of business.

Brees' restaurants would simply change owners and not need to be rebranded.

The Carolina Panthers changed owners. The Panthers are fine.

The national brand Jimmy John's may even require the sale of Brees' holdings to a new owner.

Drew owns franchises of random restaurants and who suggested they were going out of business because of boycotts? The only people still talking about it are the people whining here.

Nah. Just because large corporate ceos and pr executives give into loons doesn’t mean it would have actually had a material impact on their businesses.

To his entertainment facility, missing the business of whining out of state regressives wasn’t going to impact its profitability. Likely it would have endeared him to locals who reject this nonsense.

Now would have Malcom Jenkins been the cancer he is and ruined the football team? Sure. But giving into him probably did anyway. No one in that locker room respects drew anymore.

Honestly, standing up to this disgusting mob would have probably endeared him to his local customer base

The problem is not the locals. There are out of state and foreign power financed groups that are being directed to riot, loot, and burn businesses across the country.

Unfortunately, Brees became a high value name recognition target that fostered an agenda.

It is very naive to believe that local support for Brees was going to protect his businesses.

The agitators are brought in and execute the mayhem and then they leave for the next target.

This is so dumb.

This board has gone the way of the PoliBoard into the land of the ridiculous.

You’re honestly turning your back on Brees over this? Some of y’all are more political than anything else.

Let people have their opinions. Who cares? Why does everyone have to agree? This is like Leftist snowflake garbage, but from the Right.

Amen, and unlike them Brees could easily afford any damages incurred by not caving

Jesus Christ, dude. Drew had an opinion and was pistol whipped over it and is still apologizing. How can you come into this discussion and speak out of both sides of your mouth?
