I know some of us have quietly been building our own Big Boards, so now with the draft a few weeks away I wanna see what they look like. Yes, I understand that ST has made a collective Big Board but this is a little different. Here's mine, now with just running backs!

RB
1. Terrance West, Towson
2. Ka'Deem Carey, Arizona
3. Jeremy Hill, LSU
4. Bishop Sankey, Wash
5. Lache Seastrunk, Baylor

To me the most interesting thing is Carlos Hyde being rated so high. It's not just you either, since he's widely viewed as a top-5, if not THE top RB in this year's class. I don't like him very much.

Yeah, now I'm seeing that it wasn't really conducive for discussion. Will adjust.

it is conductive for discussion but you just wanted to come out the closet about your love for terrance west and your hatred for a buckeye.

It's not really like that

However, I think that all Hyde really has is great size and above average speed for that size.

West runs with the best pad level and vision of anyone I've watched this year.

Terrance West does have the ability to become a terrific back in this league.

Agreed.

I also believe this is one of the weakest groups of RBs to come out in recent years.

It may lack the one or two headline names in the first round but its got a lot of very good backs. May not be the strongest groups but I don't think they are a weak group. I think 4 years out, we'll have many of productive backs that came out this group.

I've looked at featured RBs prolly less than any other position. You take one if the value overwhelms but doubt it otherwise. That is cept for a scatback that might compete for some of the snaps that Sproles had. We've had some threads on those-

Thomas
Huff
Archer
Freeman

Yea i should made a new category for scat backs. Because they are basically diff positions. Some teams have a need for a scat back, but not a true RB.

if ya do, I like mixing the slot receivers with them. Many times a guy from either position can fill that role.

Some of those-

Cooks
Ellington
Archer
Saunders

I think Jeremy Hill has everything he needs to be an elite RB.

He is significantly better than Steven Ridley, who has had decent to good success in the NFL.

He has good size, good speed, good field vision.

And more importantly he isn't a rhythm runner. He can come in and run the ball without needed to be fed the ball throughout a game. That is important in a pass happy league.
