I personally think that with the way a lot of the teams a head of us have gotten pass rushers,Some of them will drop to us.

Is New England crippled? How about the Giants? Or Denver?

We're getting production from Brees and we're paying him market value.

A crippling contract is one for a player whose productivity doesn't match his salary and where cutting him takes up cap room with dead money.

Yeah, that would be Harper's contract.

That's not a given. You can't really have enough pass rushers.

Yes if we stand pat, but they often make trades in later rounds if they see a need at certain positions and see a guy they like.

Payton also said sometimes it's hard not to force a certain guy or position into a group of players higher than they should be.

A great example of us reaching for need was trading up for Ellis. I think they've been more patient earlier since then, but Payton did force the Ingram pick.

I won't argue with you with what crippled means because we clearly definie that differently, but:

Broncos: had no more cap space after signing only one or two guys and had to ask elvis to take a pay cut to go after more players(sound familiar). We all know what happened next.

Pats: had to restructure Brady 3 years in a row, and they are the very best in the league at managing the cap. That should tell you something.

Giants are starting to run into that problem this year. Eli was still "cheap" last year($9.5 mil cap hit). They haven't exactly made a splash this year, instead signing cheap replacements to the guys they lost.

Why does everyone want to get rid of Jenkins. Dude is good...most of the reason we didnt get scored on even more. Robinson is abysmal...Greeraintmuch better dont know why he's getting vouched for cause he gets beat A LOT as well. Harper maybe the slowest SS Ive ever seen and cant defend anyone off the line. Jenkins is the only one Id even givea shot to stay if they could all go. The man was trying to defend deep and help Robinson out cause he was gettin torched. Besides...Greer and Ribinson are both crazy short.

The crippling contract in NOLA is Harper, not Brees.

This

If we were to get Nnamdi I think we should draft Vaccaro at 15. Something about the kid from Texas says he is going to be a stud. Harper has consistently been our biggest liability in huge playoff and regular season games but mainly the divisional round against San Fran and the wildcard loss @ Seattle. This position needs to be upgraded, and I understand he is great in run support but the NFL is a passing league and our switch to the 3-4 in theory will allow the front seven to handle the run much better

seems to me that

Ribinson
is posing a serious potential hit to our Cap, especially since he never saw the field last year.

i say cut him and save some money.

So Jenkins is good, but Greer "aint much better" than abysmal? Lay off the crack, bro.

I'm in on kenny vaccaro too tbh, but maybe not at 15 if you can help it. The idea would be to trade back a handful of spots and pick up an extra pick to land someone like Jamie Collins in the 2nd.

I don't think Kenny gets past cincy at 21 though so they may have to take him at 15 anyway.
