Since we have all this new talent on the team at pretty much every position, does Taysom Hill sneak on the roster again? If so, for what reason? I'm not hearing anything from Locked On Saints with Ross Jackson or Matt Moscona, or any other source about him and what will be the move on him.

Seems like this years roster will be very tight and hard to make the final 53.

I hope not. He's finished and needs to retire. He used to be great. Now he's not worth a roster spot.

He should be gone. Best for all at this point.

1 year prove it deal

Outside of his short yardage advantage as a running "QB", where would he actually fit within the various depth charts? Based on his injury history, appearance to have lost a few steps, improvements at all of the positions he would normally help; putting him on the field takes away a snap from a better player.

The fact that no one has said his name in any context with the Saints or another team, and he got the sendoff against the Jets, and he got hurt again, I don't think he is playing again for the Saints

Love Taysom to death. But I think he needs to move on.

Maybe he gets a call Midway season when injuries pile up and hes fully healthy. Or he gets a season with another team. Maybe move into coaching. Dude has played almost every position.

I think Saints will have a full Stable of Young talent and they will need all the reps they can get. So they can get assimlated with our Franchise QB Seaux.

We were forced to use Taysom because we didn't have weapons, it's time to allow the next generation of playmaker to take over in New Orleans

Why so he can waste cap space, sit on IR for half the season, and take minutes from REAL TE's and RB's?

He got injured to end the year, so he likely isn't even healthy enough to work out for a team yet, and that's IF he decides he still wants to play, as there has been zero chatter on him from Saints reporters or around the league.

My guess is he retires, but if he decides to play it will likely be in Denver with Payton on a cheap one year.

CKMs offense does not seem aged unicorn compatible.

I don’t think he’s coming back but if he does, one reason would be roster flexibility on game day. Payton use to always complain about the roster limit on game days. If Taysom is active you can carry an extra DB, DL, or OL because with Taysom active, some weeks you won’t have to carry a FB or 3rd TE or 3rd RB whatever the case may be. It’s a big deal

Yeah it’s incredible, half this board would clamor for the poor guy to play in a wheelchair.

The man is in his mid 30s and had a horrific injury. It’s rare enough for mid 30s ball carriers to contribute when healthy. Taysom injured MULTIPLE ligaments. He’s done and that’s fine. He had an amazing run and earned generational money for his family.

at the end of the day it's a business
Jordan, Kamara and Hill's days as Saints are all but over unless they want to take a discounted deal to keep playing
Let some other team overpay
The reset of this roster is in full swing

He had like 200 yds rushing /receiving combined last year. It was time to move on 2 years ago when he actually had trade value. He had a good run. It's time to hang them up.

Taysom Hill is my favorite player in team history and I've been watching this team since 1996. He was pretty washed last year. I do wonder if he actually could perform better another year seperated from his ACL injury that obviously slowed him down last year.

In all honesty though, I kind of want him to retire so he can actually enjoy retirement. He's taken a pounding from head to toe the past few seasons.

I want him to be able to actually be able to enjoy putting on that Gold Pro Football HOF Jacket in about 25 years.
