Is it not true that Meacehm has a tendency to not catch with his hands? I didn't say the guy couldn't catch. Dumbasses need to learn reading comprehension.

You have no grounds to call people dumbasses with a thread title such at this.

His hands are fricking terrible, why do you think he catches everything with his chest?

Because he doesn't. Are we suppose to just except you making shite up now? All of a sudden a tendency turns into all the time?
I would just request this thread to be anchored and hope that every one forgot about it. I'm bookmarking it for later though.

I see it as he doesn't trust his hands as much as most other receivers do. When he is wide open - as he often is in this offense - and the ball is chest high or lower, he traps it against his body to make sure he catches it.
He does potentially have the hands to catch high balls but isn't as consistent as he could be due to not always catching with his hands.
The one he dropped last night was a case where if he would always try to catch with his hands out in front, he would have caught the pass since he would have had more live game experience doing so.

Generally people way overreact to immediate situations. Somewhat the same here IMO
He'll never be all world but certainly fills a role in the receiver corps. Because of this I don't think he'll command big money as a UFA and re-sign at a very team friendly deal.

Exactly, but this dude just wont admit it and be done with it. LSUZombie has admitted he overreacted before, and pretty much everyone was cool about it.

Yeah, it was your buddy whodatfan after I said that Ivory was better than Ingram in September.

Why the frick would I care if you bookmark it? The dude catches the ball with his body most of the time, your dumb arse thinks that I'm saying he's not a good receiver.
Go ask Jeff Tripplet on Twitter so you can form an opinion.

Overreact to immediate situations? His whole career is an immediate situation?

Really? To throw in your face later. Duh.

So the question of "Does Meachem have the worst hands in the league?" is a complement for a receiver now

Does Meachem have the worst hands in the league?
and
quote:
Has he ever made a catch that didn't involve his chest or elbows?
Also, does he have one leg longer than the other or something? How can someone limp run that fast?
Discuss.
Forgive me for not seeing that you're obviously saying that Meachem is a good receiver.

Oh shite. I use twitter. You got me good.

I agree with you
Devery is the same way.
They both have Mike Wallace type potential. They are good but could be so much better

by immediate situation I mean a guy has 4 catches for 111yds & a TD and you deem it the time to start a "worst hands in the league" thread. Would that be on anyone's radar without one high profile drop?

Probably not. He made a mistake, but he also game up big. So did Jimmy, so did Colston.
Meachem also prevented an int on a ball the Lions read perfectly. Meachem doesn't have the best hands, but he's far from having the worst hands in the NFL. I can't stand people asking these dumb questions, back-tracking on them, and then getting mad that people are calling them out on it. GTFO.

Colston fumbled early in 2 playoff games.. I don't see any " does Marques Colston have the worst butterfingers in the league" threads. I'm fact I may go start one....... Good thing I'm not a troll. Meachem is a more than capable 4th string receiver

prolly a post season preview...
Fire Gregg Williams!
Ingram is a bust!
Sign DeSean Jackson not Colston or Meachem!

Your right the questions in your original post were very logical, well thought, interesting, and not at all extreme or stupid

This reminds me: what's the cut off date for Datty's?

Don't know if the stats are out for 2011 yet and can't find 2010 but in 2009 Meachum had 45 receptions with 0 drops...

Dude, just give up, these fricking dolts that have taken over this board have absolutely no reading comprehension skills and instead spout out the very first knee-jerk reaction that pops up in their stupid fricking minds. Earlier, I tried arguing how we can't afford to pay for a defense as good as the Ravens and 49ers because our talent is, instead, on the offense where we shattered all those records this season....but some figs proceeded to tell me that GW is the worst coach ever and we are loaded with talent on D (except for Roman Harper who wasn't supposed to make sacks so he sucks) and Williams is actually in charge of drafting defensive players....not Payton or Loomis.....but Gregg Williams. The clutter on this board made by ignorant fair-weather faggggots is enraging.
