Most of us follow the saints closely so we get to see the chemistry in the locker room. It’s amazing to see and gives us a lot of reasons to believe. Would it be safe to say the saints have the best locker room chemistry in the league?

It's really difficult to tell because I don't really see a whole lot of teams locker rooms to see what the chemistry is like. I do know that we have a good group of guys who seem to be very close to one another and are seeking a championship.

Definitely not. That chemistry starts from the top down, and it wasn’t always like this. Remember when we had idiots like galette and browner in the locker room. Payton, loomis, and Ireland have made it a point to get high charachter guys who will fit. And they’ve done an excellent job doing that.

Teams have to make this a popint of emphasis and commit to creating a roster that reflects that point of view . Sometimes tough calls have to be made to reach that delicate balance of talent vs harmony. Brandin Cooks and Kenny Stills did not fit that mold and their talents are in another city.

There was talk of some issues with this a couple of years ago but now that has been ceaned up.

Winning cures a lot of ills, but no doubt the two are often related.

No they don’t. We used to have a terrible locker room and it’s taken us a long time to get it to where it is now, mostly thanks to Ireland and Payton realizing it, then getting rid of those guys, guys who were serious head cases and not the high character/smart guys we have brought in over the last 3-4 years

I'll say no simply because the Saints havent even always had this good of chemistry. So that proves its not just a given.

Seahawks did early on, then they threw it instead of feeding beast mode and... Yeah.

It's something we took for granted after the Vilma/will Smith years. Huge reason why we went 7-9 for 3 years straight IMHO

Yes, I visited each locker room this year and the chemistry was equal based on my advanced metrics formula.

Winning cures a whole lot of ills. If we were 0-5 or 1-4 and fingers started to be pointed, we wouldn't see that kind of chemistry.

Look at the older vets. Drew, Morestead, Bushrod, Cam, Unger, Watson. Those guys are class and through leadership wouldn’t tolerate prima donnas or thugs like often seen on other teams. Even when Michael Thomas is chippy it doesn’t seem like he’s showboating. Really appreciate the high character of our Saints.

Every team needs at least one a-hole...that can back his mouth up with his play.

Anzalone looks like his chemistry set exploded in his face when he was a kid.

We don't see the chemistry of the locker room. We are not sports writers or players. We don't go in the locker room.

You can't be that stupid.

As Jim Mora would say:
quote:

"You just never know,". "You think you know, but you don't". "And you never will."
Jim Mora, New Orleans Saints Head Coach.

There is probably good chemistry in the locker room.

I look at NYG and thank God for our team. Most of us love the saints because of the whole team. That sounds obvious, but you'd be surprised how many people are fans of a team bc of individual players (ie those disloyal LA Packers "fans" you used to see or Pat's fans that have never even visited new england)

I feel like I can say without bias that new Orleans is more connected to their team than any other city. Their bond with each other and the city is so apparent. And I have to credit CSP and Loomis for that. Win or lose, we most definitely have the best damn team in the NFL.

Dude we went 0-2 last year after several seasons and things looked fricking bleak but our boys came together and went on a roll. That's chemistry, comraderie, esprit de corps whatever you wanna call it.

A team's chemistry should be checked periodically.
