So just so I understand. You can call someone dumb but not a count. Plz clarify which names in the name calling belittling category are accepted. Thx in advance

[quote]Ingram is a complete back. Burst, quickness, power, and can catch. He's not just a pound-the-line kind of guy. To say that that's the only reason they picked him up is short-sighted, and quite dumb. That's one of the things he CAN do, but it's not the only reason they brought him in. You can't get a yard when the whole defensive line and LBers are a yard or two past the LOS. It just won't happen.
I did not call you any names.
Can you tell me where I called you any names? I didn't realize it was possible to be so dense (now I'm saying you're dense.. THAT is namecalling) I didn't say "you are dumb". I said that thinking that it's possible for a back to pick up a yard with defenders 2 yards past the LOS is a dumb thing to think.
quote:
Is that why Coach Payton said after the draft, "its no secret we had trouble in short yardage last year. Mark was brought here to help in that aspect." do some research
Because Mark Ingram CAN help in this department. He runs with much more power than any other back other than Ivory. But a 3rd and 1 situation is mostly OL.
quote:
Right, ingrams such a complete back that he has the lowest YPC on the team and immediately comes in on short yardage. Don't forget the fumbles
He has the lowest YPC on the team BECAUSE he's only being put in on short-yardage situation.

quote:
I hope you're right but I haven't seen anything to suggest he is anything but an average short yardage back.
He hasn't been given the opportunity to be anything else. It's only been 2 games.
quote:
You're just a count whose Momma didn't hold him enough as a child, therefore you have no ability to think without emotion.

you piece of monkey shite cocksucker
Tells me that you have no argument. You are a knee-jerk reactor and a chicken little. I'm not saying Ingram is the next coming of Emmitt Smith. I'm saying he has the tools. He's a rookie with only 2 real NFL games under his belt. Give him some time to develop before you label him a bust or short-yardage only back.

Are we dumb for falling for trolls, or are these people that stupid?

At 50 posts it certainly lends credence to trolling.. But I think some people just are that thick-headed.

Ingram has had some nice 3 and short conversions this year, the failures are just magnified because of the end of the GB game.
But another angle to this: I know i cant be the only person that can see Brees' obvious tell on handoffs. On regular passing plays and play action passes Brees always comes from under center in full stride. On EVERY running play he has a hitch in his drop back before he turns to hand the ball off. Maybe this has no affect on the outcome of the play but it just seems like a really simple thing to correct either way.

I've often wondered why some QB's don't do their best acting jobs on play action and draw plays. Good call, I seent it too.

It seems like this is the only time we bring him in and everyone in the stadium knows it's going to be a run.
I call bullshite on this. MI has the most carries to date of all our RBs in 2011 so for you to say he only comes in on 3rd and 1 or in obvious running situations is pretty ridiculous. As if the Saints have obvious running situations. We threw TWICE on freaking 3rd and 1 against the Packers for Christ's sake.

I agree that the o-line needs to actually push forward and open holes for him instead of collapsing.
Why is Pierre averaging 5.2 ypc while Ingram is only averaging 3.4 ypc? Are you implying the line only blocks for Pierre?

Nobody is implying that. It's as simple as the line happened to block better for Pierre, Pierre is more experienced and patient and waits for the hole. Ingram is still a rookie only in his SECOND game thusfar. He needs time to learn the NFL speed and realize that holes aren't going to be wide open but he has to see them. At the end of the game vs. the bears, we saw him try to find the right holes or break it outside if the middle was stuffed. I think he just needs time to settle in.
Besides all of that, what you quoted was a reference to the 3rd and 1 plays.

I agree with your assessment. I also see Pierre running with a fire that was missing all of last year. I have been very impressed with him especially after all of the shite he caught last year.

All I'm going to say is I saw a couple of times the RBs left us with third and short. Rather that than third and long.
I want to see Ingram run up the middle. I see why we go outside, but give it to someone with more capable feet.
Ingram is a bulldozer.
