UFA this year at RB:
Justin Forsett
DeMarco Murray
Ahmad Bradshaw (28??)
Stevan Ridley
Shane Vereen
Darren McFadden
Ryan Matthews
Chris Polk
Knowshon Moreno
Frank Gore
The market will be light. Aside from Murray (Dez is FA too), all of those guys can be had for sub 5 mill a year (most probably in the 2-4 million range).

Will depend on players restructuring. Brees at the top of the list.

Why would he want to resign? Most of the fans dislike him and its a pass heavy offense that he doesn't get many carries in unless half of our running backs are injured.

I honestly think he's tired of sharing the carries. He'll go to a team that wants an every-down back. Money is just one aspect of this situation. You can tell he's frustrated here.

Also, why pay him a bunch of money when we can draft Amerr Abdullah or Jeremy Langford in the 2nd or 3rd round. Hell, we could probably get Michael Dyer in the 5th.

So your plan is get rid of a guy that is proven in the NFL and has just strung together 3 100 yard games in a row, and you want us to replace that talent with rookies?
This place is comical.

I wouldn't mind resigning him at the right price but this conversation is probably a moot point. as someone said earlier, I think he is looking to go somewhere that won't have him splitting carries with 4 backs. the frustration level was obvious earlier in the year.
although maybe if his workload keeps up like it has the past 3 games he considers resigning here.

In one game against garbage cowboys

I would love for MI to come back as he really seems to have figured it out. I think it depends on what he wants though....If he starts wanting AP or Chris Johnson money...

And in the playoffs at Philly, and at Seattle besides the fumble. Don't be dumb. Ingram has been a different back since he came back from the toe injury midway last year.

He will not get that kind of money anywhere

I'll put my money on us not being able to make a deal. He's going to want to get paid to some extent and with all the shite he took from fans early in his career, I don't feel like he loves the city or the fan base or has ever made a real connection that would lead him to making a team friendly deal the way PT did. The one thing the NFL is not lacking is dumb GMs, someone will be happy to overpay him.

it will probably take a 4 yr 26-30 mill type deal to resign him.

frick it. Draft Terrell Johnson in the 3rd next year. Profit.

he's been giving him 20+ carries a game for 3 straight weeks. But yeah way too arrogant to give him the ball. What a stupid comment.
He's been giving him 20+ carries because he has been forced to. No other RB has been healthy, but yeah, I'm the one with the stupid comment.

I wouldn't give him that kind of money. Not really a reflection on Ingram though, just we have bigger holes at other positions.

Well, Ingram is the first RB since Deuce to have these multiple 100 yard games, and each of them have helped us win/come close to winning. I would sacrifice someone like Colston or Hawthorne in order to keep Ingram if that's what had to be done. Also, between Evans and Grubbs one will probably be gone next season to help clear up cap room.
