This is what happens when you now live in a knee jerk reaction society with 24/7 news cycle.
(a week from now people will already have forgotten about Harbaughs comments.)

So, per the official announcement, the player suspensions are for actions during the 2009 playoffs.
If the troll who claims to have left is correct in that Vilma and co. are being punished for continuing a program after being told to stop, then why didn't the league punish them for any actions AFTER 2009?
Remember, the team was first told to stop prior to the Super Bowl, which was AFTER the alleged actions took place. Thus, these punishments could not have been for CONTINUING a "bounty program" after being told to stop.

We are taking Vilma out who missed 5 games last year and had 54 total tackles and replacing him with Lofton who had 147 total tackles...
Now lets go win another one

Hasselbeck and Jason Babin are pointing out how inconsistent Goodell is and how he doesnt really care about player safety. Its about lawsuits
Babin wants evidence. Both Hasselbeck and Babin admitted its gone on all over the league

This is not a punishment for ACTUALLY INJURING anyone, it's for INTENDING to injure someone, or for LYING about intending to injure someone.
Heaven forbid the Saints ACTUALLY injured someone.
Goodell should be fired.
