We looked awful. Sean Peyton better get us fired up or he will lose this team.

It’s hilarious. We are currently the best team in the NFL, and posters in here are complaining about a 2 TD win against an arch rival.

The Saints players CAUSED the turnovers. It is not like the Falcons were dropping them on their own. That is what good defenses do. Look at the Bears D. They create turnovers. That is how they win. Atlanta no matter the record always match up well with the Saints. This game was not going to be a blowout like the last few weeks. The defense is playing like the 09 Defense. They are creating the turnovers.

These turnovers have been occurring for a few weeks now. You think that's just coincidence?

Saints run a complicated offense and on a short week you don't get to gameplan that much around the opponent. Hell, next week will likely be a lot closer than this one. It's a brutal stretch and some of our guys are banged up. I'm actually impressed with how the game turned out.

It’s a good sign that the defense is stepping up. Drew had a pretty game by his standards. When you don’t even pass for 200 yards and your completion percentage is only 68%, that isn’t very good but the defense stepped up. If Drew continues to struggle we have Teddy to step in. Calm down it’ll be ok.

This team better get its shite together before they ruin something special.

the delusional fanboys will shite on this thread but you are right, there was lots of bad in that win and they got lucky the falcons beat themselves and tanked.

the saints deserve credit for the win and helped cause much of the falcons failures but truth be told it was a terrible showing by kick coverage team allowing at least two 40 yard returns as well as the defense giving up 4/6 4th down conversions and way too many 3rd and longs.

while i wouldnt say its a huge concern, it was very sloppy play and a possible sign they are getting too high on themself which could lead to a surprise loss if they cant clean those things up.

it only gets much harder for us to win out (which we must do) while rams and bears have easy remaining schedules

The truly great teams win even when they don’t play a complete game.

Sooo, yeah, you’re dumb.

Agree. This defense is top 5 on 1st and 2nd downs. Then near bottom of the league on 3rd down which is so frustrating. It’s amazing how no matter how long the third down is they let them convert

There are unique ebbs and flow to every game bruh! If we hadn’t gotten the turnovers maybe kamara goes for 200 and 3 tds... This team will continue to dominate opponents that can’t pressure brees consistently without blitzing.

The New Orleans Saints should not be expected to always perform in video game fashion, especially against a divisional opponent, and particularly against the Atlanta Falcons. The fact that Thomas Morstead had to be rescued from a moth-ball filled cedar chest to actually punt a few times is testimony of just how otherworldly this offense has been. Though some are reluctant to admit it, Matt Ryan is one of the most prolific passers of his generation and he has no shortage of talented receivers, against which is the one glaring weakness the Saints have struggled to defend thus far this season.

And, do not underestimate the absence of Terron Armstead, who is arguably the best left tackle in the NFL, even when only moderately healthy. Bushrod filled in serviceably, but the run game and the screen game to the left side is just brilliant with Armstead, which enables the Saints to dominate the clock and limit opponents offensive possessions, which keeps the defense fresh.

The Falcons found it necessary to go for it on 4th down inside their own territory in the first half. That’s how good the Saints are and how much they’re in their opponent’s heads.

It's crazy to think how teams have been approaching the Saints.

They know they have to score 30+ so they do some risky things like 4th and 7.

The best part of it all, teams cant slow down the game by running it because of how dominant our run D has been. Yet we can control the tempo of the game. It's demoralizing.
