I am kinda indifferent. He is a nice in person, but he trys too hard on the air. He was so much better when buddy was still alive and mentoring him. Since he has been the top guy on wwl he has become a jackass on the air. He doesnt have to kiss the callers asses, but dont be a dick either.

Maybe the real Deke was killed in the storm on the way to his first day on the job and when they opened the door they just assumed that this guy was the "Big Chief" even though he was just a hobo that talked like a white Charles Barkley (awwww that's jus turrible).
Or maybe they just grabbed this homeless guy off the street because they were running out of on-air personalities to do the news 24/7 after the storm. Kinda like Happy Gilmore getting the homeless guy to be his caddie.
