Did anyone notice the two refs said something to each other after the play?

one of the refs approached the other one and said something to the other one and then they separated real quick.

it must have been something like " just leave it alone man, we ain't calling shite".

sadly, i'm serious.

I noticed a few tense looks between them on the replays. You could tell from their body language something was up.

I read that one of them said the pass was tipped which is even more comical. The pass wasn’t even close to being tipped.

The older white guy is the one that I'm most curious about. He's the veteran of the crew. It happens right in front of him, he immediately walks over to the black dude and says something then starts jawying at Payton. You could tell there's some history with that guy.

That's supposedly what one of them told the Ram's DB. I really think the NFL was going to try and run with that shite until they watched the replay and saw the ball about 3ft away from anyone's hands.

"Tipped" would only eliminate the PI or face guarding...NOT defenseless/ helmet to helmet.

They are human, and may have gotten caught up in the excitement of the game. But they're paid a ton of money not to do that. Clearly, they should both be fired.

Right which would nullify a PI but not a helmet to helmet. The pass wasn’t even close to being tipped though. I’m amazed every time I watch the replay at the incompetence and blatant cheating.

I noticed all of their players on the field were expecting a flag to come out. They all turned and watched the play and no one celebrated the third down stop, obviously because they were expecting the flag

Whats annoying about that is that THAT can be reviewed.

So if they call what they saw and let the review system confirm if there was a tip or not, then this is a non story.

frick these two assclowns.

Is that even their job? Shouldn’t they be. Calling the obvious PI and let the ref in the backfield tell them it was tipped?

Even if the pass is somehow tipped, that tackle should have been called for defenseless player
