I would agree with this. All these would be great picks at 24
OL: Josh Jones, Austin Jackson, Isaiah Wilson, Cesar Ruiz, Robert Hunt
CB: Jaylon Johnson, Jeff Gladney, Fulton
RB: Clyde, Taylor, Swift
All of these guys would be ready to contribute day 1.

oomis pretty much said this results in 3-4 guys being available that are very closely ranked to each other and position then comes into play to some degree. It's not absolute BPA no matter what.
Yea, I was joking. The Saints say they draft BPA

If it's RB, which is alone enough to cause a melt, and it's *not* CEH, then the melt will be amazing.
Once folks realize that drafting a back in the first makes a potentially ugly situation with Kamara more likely (Saints would be more inclined not to meet his demands...or, shite, he could be traded for a 2nd rounder even)...then the melt in the months to follow would be historic.
It's all moot, since there's no way they spend a 1st on a RB.

Our fan base is going to absolutely melt isn’t it?
I don't think there is a single pick we could make that wouldn't achieve some sort of melt. As someone pointed out the other day, even Lattimore, who had no business falling to us, was met with a few disgruntled Saints fans.

smoke screen from payton. sounds like it won't be any of those

I think it’s possible they take Ruiz at 24 then trade back into the first or second for that RB. I don’t see them taking the RB only in Round 1
I’m surprised they’re waiting on LB. They must have some serious question marks about Brooks, Queen and Murray. Or feel like Brooks could be had later

Only if we trading kamara do we take a RB round 1
This is correct. CEH is good enough to win with, for sure, but there's no way you extend Kamara if you draft CEH. If that happens---and it won't---then you have to think they've had conversations internally about moving Kamara for a 2nd rounder.

If Queen is there and we don’t take him, it will be a head scratcher
Wouldn’t be that crazy. Not exactly a priority position and he’s had about 2/3rds of a season worth of significant success. I wouldn’t mind the pick but he’s not some slam dunk.

If they traded back and took a RB I wouldn't lose my mind

No LB?
I think bc the odds of a LB making an instant impact in a nonexistant COVID-19 offseason are low, IMO.
OL and RB are among the highest immediate impact positions.

Isn’t this a weak CB and Oline draft? Like someone above said, I wouldn’t be opposed to trading back and then grabbing CEH, and I’m not an LSU guy, but I think he’d be great in the NFL.

This. If they take an OL and maybe trade back into the first or second for a RB then it can let you get rid of Warford or make him take a pay cut. I think it’s a strong possibility we sign Bradham after the draft

Yeah but as it stands now we'd have to make a trade to open up PT for a 1st rder at either of those spots.
