Drew Brees is already past Deuce EASILY!
While maybe statistically accurate, I don't think he is as intertwined with the community in the same way yet. Deuce represented the entire southern region. Brees is amazing, but the (some) fans love Deuce especially for his work during/after the hurricanes hit. For me, he represents that toughness that I love about Sundays.

Deuces career here is done idiot. Drews is not. That doesn't take rocket science to figure that out.

No knock against Deuce but Drew did come and sign as a FREE AGENT with New Orleans the year AFTER our city was decimated by Katrina. He chose to come to this community and was also a leader of the team through thick and thin and led the resurgence of the Saints through this Payton era. Nothing is a knock on Deuce but Drew's argument is almost more compelling IMO. He chose us when our city was down.

Deuce is in no way the greatest saint ever and can't even hold Brees' jock now to say the least
Seriously? Drew is the shite. No doubt, but this statement is just dumb.

Name calling again.
Anyways, yes Deuce rushed for 6,000 yards in 8 seasons, Drew has passed for about 14,000 yards in 3. My vote is for Drew and the fact that he's still in his prime not even close to being done is leverage FOR Drew, not against.

New Orleans parts ways with Deuce and Tyson Chandler in the same day . . . it's all about that money man . .

After Nick Saban passed on him. We offered him a pretty good package not knowing really what we were getting at the time. Drew was seriously looking noodle armed after his last game in San Diego. The market wasn't on fire for his services. I am very thankful that things turned out the way they did.
My whole point is that I think the people love Deuce because he was a local area product. He has grown up in this region and meant alot to the people. He is one of us. He had a really good run. 2 outstanding years and 4 pretty good years. 1 lost to injury and last year.

When a player holds 4 all time records for any NFL franchise they are the greatest!

Deuce is the greatest offensive FORMER Saint, how bout that? When Drew hangs 'em up (or gets cut) which is hopefully at least 5 yrs from now, he'll be the greatest. But for today, I'll give Deuce is due props. We don't beat Philly without him. Thanks, bro.

Should have been done before last season. Deuce was great but the NFL is a business.

Well said. This has nothing to do with Breesus. He is a beast too, but Deuce is the greatest Saint to win a playoff game for us.
