Just ask one question, is he better than Dalton or Winston? You don't need to compare him to the 31 other qb's.

If Carr had Shanahan as his HC he'd be an MVP candidate.
Ok well he’s got Pete Carmichael here so what’s your point ?
How do you have 16 up votes for this completely irrelevant comment ?

He didn’t become all world in TB, he was basically the same QB he had been, just suddenly surrounded by an elite D to where OK was good enough.

Based on last year he is objectively not.

$40 mil is not an astronomical overpay for a guy like Carr.
Are you f’ing crazy? So when Mahomes and Allen, the two best QBs in the nfl, are making 43 and 45 a year, Carr making 40 isn’t an astronomical overpay lol.
Y u think the Raiders are cutting the cord, you can’t build a decent team with Carr making 40 a year.

Carr at $40 will look like Brees at 25 mil looks now.
Except Brees at 25mil is still a prime top 5 qb.
Carr at 40mil is a 10-15 range guy who should be paid 25-30mil

I’m not sure what passer rating is, but his passer rating is worse than Dalton.

With this move, we’re striving to save Dennis Allen’s job, win the NFC South and take the first-round beating that comes with it. This Saints team isn’t winning the Super Bowl any time soon even by acquiring Derek Carr.
And, if he’s so good, why did the Raiders put up 30+ with Jarrett Stidham against a very good 49ers defense the first game after Carr was benched? Carr had a healthy Davante Adams all year and stunk. Carr was arse in the Pittsburgh game and that led them to bench him.
This is a short-term move to help save the jobs of a coach or two and some in the front office.

If we don’t get Carr I’d rather us resign Dalton for 2 years and move up in draft to get Stroud or Levi. Without a QB we aren’t winning anything anyway.

Damn. I can't believe I really have to spell this out:
Relevance being comparing Carr to Garoppolo
Hopefully you now understand what everyone else in the thread already did.

How many starving people are in line outside McDonald's waiting on that ONE frickING BURGER, that leads an inflation in price. Surely you're familiar with that: 20 bucks for 60 eggs, almost 5 bucks for a gallon of milk, gas well over 3 bucks a gallon of gas in most of the country
