Didn’t the Jets go to back to back AFC title games with Sanchez at QB?

Exactly he is a piece to the puzzle a good piece.

Everybody can’t have a top 5 qb and these idiots need to understand this.

No QB looks good with a bad OLine.

Joe Burrow made it to the SB his rookie season without much of an offensive line and a solid backing defense. I agree that usually is the case though.

Matt Ryan won a few playoff games and made a Super Bowl

With a great offensive line and weapons all up and down the roster. Derek Carr has never had those things, and I'm not even a Carr apologist.

No

Ryan was sacked 37 times his SB and MVP year, 6th most in the league. He had Julio Jones and then Sanu, Taylor Gabriel and Aldrich Robinson. Tamme and Hooper. Devonta Freeman.

Ryan is top 10 all time in pass yards and TDs, MVP. Won 53% of his games. He’s a borderline HOF. Don’t insult him comparing him to Carr

Derek Carr is more like Jay Cutler

Not taking anything away from Ryan, but what he lacked in actual weapons was made up for by having the luxury of Kyle Shanahan running his offense. The closest Carr came to having a top OC was Gruden, Carr has also had the benefit of playing with some great weapons that can rival some of the individual weapons Ryan has played with.

Carr does not belong in a conversation with Ryan. Ryan was not the greatest QB, but he was consistently in that 2nd tier of QBs, production wise, and had 1 year where he put it all together.

Started his career 56-22 with Mularkey as OC, two pro bowls and a rookie of the year trophy. Another Pro Bowl under Dirk Koetter as OC.

He played under 4 OCs in Atlanta and had success until age caught up with him. Carr will ride the offensive coordinator excuse into the sunset. Like he’s the only guy to ever have multiple OCs. Or the only QB to play through injury.

People were mocking Mark Sanchez in the game thread but Sanchez is 4-2 in the playoffs and has a career record over .500 Carr has had a pretty sad career in that respect

You think that’s bad. This board was clowning Denver and Russell Wilson last year like Russell Wilson is some bum qb.

The guy is a Super Bowl winning, mvp caliber, future hall of famer. We made fun of Denver for taking a chance on him?? Even in his worst year he’s as good if not better than Carr

I think Pittsburg is genius for taking a chance on him and fields. Lots of potential for little to no risk. But that’s the type of moves you expect from an elite franchise like Pittsburg

Denver ran him off while still on the hook for his very large contract.
Pitt was desperate for a qb not geniuses. Who was their last qb drafted? Geniuses yeah right. And I'm not so sure Wilson has out played much of anyone the last three years. But carry on.

Maybe if we trade him to a contender that loses their starter. Think we’re in the process of bottoming out and it just won’t align.

Milky quit stalking me bro

Wilson wasnt great last year but still probably top 15 imo. Better than Carr. He's getting so much shite because of who he is and how big his contract was. Hes failing to meet expectations but even at his worst and well past his prime hes a solid qb.

I would take him or Fields over Carr in a heartbeat. And the steelers have both for practically nothing. Thats how you think outside the box.

Everything in that first paragraph could be applied to Carr.

There's like 14 things wrong with this sentence.

Joe was in his 2nd year.

He had elite af wrs and a good rb room

That defense was elite. Not good. Elite.

Carr is a loser and terrible leader. He will never win a playoff game.

Neither will Allen

Carr is about to become a Saints legend after he leads us to back to back Number 1 picks in the next two drafts.
