Dennis Allen still needs to be fired.

Just a reminder.

We need to go back to 2015 and fire the right guy this time. At least the other guy tried to adapt to his players instead of vice versa, and actually played the best players, even if they didn't 100% know the playbook like Allen demands.

Y’all are dumb. The NFL has made defense harder to play. So far 2018 is on pace to tie for the second highest points per game per team ever at 23.4 ppg. That ties the pace in 2013. First place is 1948.
Dennis Allen has the front 7 playing solid. They need to do a better job of rushing the passer which will help the secondary. If they need to make a change, start with the secondary coach. Aaron Glenn isn’t cutting it. It reminds me of Henry Ellard at WR coach when Curtis Johnson left for Tulane. You could see the difference. Finally, Allen is not the one that cut Jamerson or Moore and kept Gray. That decision was clearly made by CSP because they thought they could get them on the practice squad. That backfired. And now they have to deal with it.

Players can't make plays when Dennis Allen has them out of position.

Haven’t we learned if DC has great year with the Saints fire his arse immediately because next year will suck.

He should have been given a southwest ticket back to Nola....

Whose to say that he did not have them in the right position scheme wise and they are failing to execute? You aren’t in the film room with the team.

I thought the D line played better and the LB's played better.
The secondary is the obvious weakness.

Allen is and always has been a mediocre to horrible DC. This isn’t something new. His play calling has been awful and he gets out coached more than any coach I’ve seen.
His specialty area is the one struggling the most. He makes almost no adjustments and when he does, they have been awful.
Greg Williams and Rob Ryan both had better defenses than him and only Williams’ got worse in year 3 and largely due to injuries.
Allen is simply another one of Payton’s buddies that won’t get fired like he is supposed to.

We are getting ready for our fourth game of the season and the secondary still can't figure out who has who.

The past 3 games, everytime the defense scored or gashed us, its been common.
Leaving Crawely on a island with no help over the top.
The WRs we have faced are really good though.
You d think ALLEN would gamble with leaving lattimore on an island instead of crawley.
I dont see that. You take away all of those busts by Crawley and Williams, none of these games are close.
Should they bring back the 3 Safety Set?

What if I told that he's doing his best and working very hard?

I honestly have no idea if it's scheme or personnel at this point. I saw Allen adjusting in the secondary and trying different schemes/players, and none of it worked. Our CBs behind Lattimore all look like trash, and every team's WR2 is going to work us if we don't fix it.
At least the D Line looked better this game. And the linebackers too.

totally agree ^^^^^
but then, allen chose to keep these players and not replace them, most of which he knew were as bad as they are
so whether its talent evaluation and failure to address it, or bad schemes, it still comes back to the fact he isnt getting the job done and needs to go

I mean, I don't know that this is true at all. I sincerely doubt any teams allow their D Coordinator to make the final decision on personnel. I'm sure he has input, but I think who we keep and who we cut is ultimately up to Payton and Loomis/Ireland.
