Dalton really is starting? Yikes. I’d say we’re tanking but we have no pick to tank for.

In a talent derived offense you play your least talented qb. Brilliant!

Crazy how the qb with the least amount of talent at the skill positions was able to double the points of the qb with way better skill position talent.

Crazy how the saints are now

5th in the league in yards per game
6th in RZ TD scoring %
11th in points per game

with Dalton operating the offense under the tutelage of Pete Carmichael. Far cry from the anemic offensive performances in the early weeks

I think it’s pretty clear the OP is a little race biased on this topic. He’s been beating this drum for a little bit now but really has no hard evidence to stand on. Dalton was signed to be the backup, not the starter. I don’t expect him to light the world on fire. It’s undeniable though that Dalton played better with the bottom 4 WR than Winston did with the top 4. I know he’s hurt and that obviously factors in but you saw him still make the same foolish throws he has all throughout his career when he gets behind or under pressure. That’s why I say neither is the answer at QB but not having a pick next year unless we get one for Sean we have another 2 years at least before we can draft our hopeful new QB or if they trade away some of our very best players.

Oh yeah yards per game. That stat that combines passing and rushing yards? 15th in passing and 7th in rushing. 230 per game and falling.

6th in RZ TD scoring %

Thanks taysom!

11th in points per game

Bolstered by playing the 2nd worst scoring defense in the league that committed multiple turnovers.

Playing an injured qb will hamper your offensive production. See drew brees 2020

Im more worried about shitty secondary and receiver issue. (All injury related of course, but thats why we’ll lose).

Dalton vs Winston is slightly immaterial to me.

Except for those silly stats that aren't based on race I've been presenting for days now.

Dalton was signed to be the backup, not the starter. I don’t expect him to light the world on fire

I wonder why?

It’s undeniable though that Dalton played better with the bottom 4 WR than Winston did with the top 4

That would be true except for the Atlanta game comeback. And.....

I know he’s hurt and that obviously factors in

Not according to the retards on this board.

Injury begets frustration begets regression. He's not allowed to get better from it though when he already showed in the previous year that he could.

Yall want to play hide the ginger and act like he's the better choice go ahead. The second we're down two scores in the 2nd half this game is over, or I'll ban myself from this board.

us scoring 26 points due to 268 yds rushing,

If you knew anything about football (you don't), you would understand that averaging 26 points while running for 268 yards is a recipe for making the playoffs and winning a Super Bowl.

Of course, that's assuming one has an average defense (will our Social Justice Warriors on the D(ownlow) pull their heads out of their asses and concentrate on playing football.

268 yards on the ground and 26 points would be epic.

Controlling the football for most of the game!

Maybe you can have your wife's boyfriend explain football to you.
