PFF just tweeted this out.

quote:

Highest % of targets defensed or intercepted:
Delvin Breaux, 22.0%
Johnathan Joseph 18.9%
Marcus Peters 18.2%
Quinten Rollins 17.9%

His story truly never gets old, and it's just the beginning for this kid. Glad and proud to have him in the Back and Gold, and look forward to watching him grow and get better from here. I don't think a lot of casual fans realize how good he really is

Screw Browner for making us talk about his abortion of a season and not being able to enjoy Breaux's breakout as much.

I want to call him the best player on the D, Cam is good just not dominant. He's on his way, next year he can make himself a bigget name with consistency, I'd like to see him lose 5 pounds also.

With a consistent pass rush, a lot of our DB's will look a little better.

Some players just have an instinct for the ball.
Like Tyrann Mathieu.

Not sure it can be taught.

It can't be taught to that level. For the most part you either have it or you don't and the ones who do are really special. If Breaux and Lewis can stay healthy it'll be exciting to watch them ball

it can be taught to some imo.

Malcolm Jenkins is someone who was always putting himself out of position to make a turnover while he was a Saint. Philly's coaches has been doing something since he's around the ball muc more.

I wish I would have bookmarked that post someone had about him not being an NFL talent.

Ugh, I wanted Peters so fricking bad at 13 too. To have Delvin Breaux and Marcus Peters, just damn. We'd finally have CB on lock for the first time since 2009.

Breaux's been my favorite defensive player to watch since Sharper (before he got rapey). It's really an incredible hometown kid story who will be our best defensive player next year.

He's stocky for a #1 corner, with his frame he could lose it and be quicker.

The idiot that told KV to gain 5 pounds(looks like more) should be fired immediately. He is slow compared to the rookie version.

I would like to think I am responsible for him playing football with the Saints. He played on my group of friends flag football team at LSU when he was first getting back Thats how he found out he still had it. Dude was a BEAST in intramural football

Instincts are a big part but only the great ones master those ball skills to go along with the technique

The rush of seeing the receiver's eyes light up when that ball is coming in and knowing it's your time to make a play
