Charles Brown visiting with NYG...Hopefully we lose them both.

Wasted 2nd round pick. Hated the pick when we made it, hate it even worse today.

While they are trying to cross train him as a center, Lelito has always played guard going back to college(and from what I gathered high school). I think he's still too green to truly just trust him with the spot without bringing in someone else.

I'm with you here. I hated the pick then as well.

His technique was awful and he was not strong at the point of attack. The FO knew that he had athletic ability and gambled on that.

This FO has a habit of doing that in the draft and coming up short. (M Wilson, Sed Ellis, C Vaughn, Johnny Patrick, Stanley Arneaux, etc. etc.)

Hopefully ML and SP are getting better at that aspect (I think that they are). They took a chance on Armstead....but he didn't have quite the shortcomings of Brown. His technique was raw, but he had much more strength which made it easier for him to transition.

Scares me thinking they'll do that and waste our 1st on Kelvin Benjamin

The someone else is dlp. Someone has to be better than him. He was a serviceable guy but he's not a huge interior center and that's what we need. Badly.

If we made a great draft pick at C.. we could have an allstar OL this year

This position is too important for the Saints not to upgrade. It's because Drew:

1) is short, so the center can't allow a batted ball, and

2) likes to step up in the pocket. Drew isn't good at escaping to the outside. He needs a solid block on the DT to have room to step up.

We can't have DLP as the starter for another year. I don't mind having him on the team as a backup, though.

There is absolutely no way he returns to the team in a backup capacity.

I try to forget that he existed. We were on such a roll with interior linemen in the middle rounds, I figured he was a surefire HoFer.

No kidding. He's cashing in, AS he should.

We know what he is: decent pass blocker, good on screens, sub par run blocking.
