I think the criticisms of Allen on this board are unreasonable, but if this is more than coach-speak, he may lose me as a defender.

Winston needs to stay on the bench until fully healthy, and only return if Dalton looks worse than he did last week.

That's a pretty vague statement.

Well it’s a good thing you aren’t the one making the decisions.

I’ve been advocating for Dalton for weeks. If he goes back to Winston after what Dalton just did, pretty much proves to me that he is what he is. A losing coach that will have four losing seasons in 4 years that needs to be fired at the end of the year.

Dennis Allen is Jim Haslett all over again.

Not a fair statement, Haslett would have 100% played Winston against Minnesota.

It’s coach speak. Winston didn’t practice today. They’re gonna “rest him” for a few more weeks at least and see what happens.

What did Dalton do? 82 total yards of offense in the 1st half? Big turnover that have Minny an easy FG? Winston hasn't done much either but to think Dalton proved anything is silly.

We only had 1 TD in 1st three quarters of any game until Minesotta… that 1 TD was bc of Taysom long run followed by Taysom TD run.

I’m not saying Dalton is getting us a SB but Jameis hasn’t looked great by any means…

You have to look at the whole game. He made better reads. He looked at option 1, 2 and 3 before he through the ball. He read the defence. Yes he fumbled but no interceptions. The Saints lead the league in interceptions and we had zero last week.

Not a Jameis advocate but we had more in the 4th quarter of our only win

What did Dalton do?.... Well he utilized the game plan instead of just trying to hit a home run every play and was able to let our defense rest by keeping the offense on the field longer. In his first game as a Saint, he had more composure in the pocket than JW has ever had.... I could go on, but don't want to be silly....
