So.. last time I posted. I was hammered and I said some dumb stuff with no good info.

I think we should have traded Rattler. He’s not our future so get what you can. Wilson would suffice and you keep Dekkers to develop or find someone else. If Shough goes down we’re hosed anyway.

couldn’t they have just kept him and he wouldn’t count against the roster? Wouldn’t be financially responsible to him if on the roster while suspended I thought

Trading Deion Jones for a guy to cut immediately is peak Saints hate LSU.

No point doing that for like the 9th-10th best receiver in camp.

Interesting

Saint Trade Dion Jones for the running back Zamir Ehite and then cut him.

Whoever makes the initial 53 has their base salary guaranteed for the year. If we don't plan on having him more weeks than not (or he isn't a stand in for a vet we cut but bring back week 2 for a cheaper guaranteed salary), it doesn't make sense to have him on the initial 53.

I'm kind of perplexed by the Kilty cut. Thought he was impressive. Hopefully he'll be on the practice squad.

estime
I'm sure it's this. Estime looked crazy good at the end of last season and in that Dallas game (and this off-season in general).

White was probably acquired because we knew Jones wasn't going to make it (he looked lost as frick out there) and we're initially worried about the severity of Estime's injury, plus Miller and Neal also being banged up.

Now that Miller and Estime are back they don't need White (and he didn't show much anyway).

agreed. it's not like they're super deep at OL too.

Kilty
Pure numbers game. They have a couple of others they feel are more developed right now, but Kilty will definitely be back on the ps unless he gets picked up.

This is likely an 8 or 9 year for Oline given some other positions. The rest of the depth will be stashed on the ps and called up when needed.

Its surprising only if you think:

1. AK/ Neal were murdered.
Or
2. Once they comeback we magically keep 7 RB's and on the roster.
