So you think Michael Turner and Pierre Thomas are elite RB's but Emmitt Smith was mediocre?

Let me guess, you think Fournette is going to be a great running back in the NFL, right?

I think it's crazier to think that he won't be a good RB, than thinking he will be a good RB.

trade him for a pick or something. He isnt the worst back in the league and some teams are worse off than we are at rb.

this is hilarious, so the above must be the best RB's in the league right?

Your strange obsession with arguing over broken tackles make you sound borderline autistic

A pro bowl running back with almost 1000 yards on the season is mediocre. Its this helter skelter offense that sean payton prefers....no running back can be overly successful in it unless you are a scat back/3rd down specialist. Payton has been mediocre the last 4 seasons. If they lose out he should be on the hot seat.

glad I clicked on this thread for this gem

YPC is not a necessarily a good stat to judge a running back

this team is fricked up for many many reasons and mark ingram isn't in the top 20 of that list

...This is so stupid. We literally would have nothing at RB without Ingram. No one worth noting. Literally, not a single guy.

If your answer to that is: we could get one easily in the draft or in FA..... so could any team that is "RB Needy" that we could trade him to..

This thread is funny and ridiculous, at the same time. YPC isnt a good stat to judge a RB by? That's just retarded. How about YAC where Ingram is always ranked high? Bet that's not a telling stat either.

I absolutely hate Alabama. I unfortunately live here, so I know how much it sucks. I hate the Crimson Tide with a passion, but Mark Ingran is a Saint now. With all the problems we have on this team, Mark aint one of em. He's been a solid back for the last few years, who never gets the workload he should, because of SP and our offense philosophy. People that claim he sucks, must be blind. Same as the people trying to claim Fournette won't be a great back in the NFL.

you could use yards after initial contact. thats a better assessment...

I mean which RB is better?
One that gets 5.0 YPC, but his OL gets 2.5 yards per push

or

the RB that gets 4.5 YPC, but his OL gets 1.5 yards per push?

That's the only 'balanced' way to do it.

Ingram was fifth among RBs in yards after contact last season.

precisely why the whole "he doesn't fight for yards" or "he always has minimal gain" is ridiculous. he gets hit behind the LOS for what should be a 1-2 yard loss, but makes it a 1-2 yard gain instead.

our run blocking has been horrendous for years and spotty at best.

I could be wrong but stupid is kind of aggressive dont you think? I mean we are adults right? do we need to insult just because we have anonymity? Dont be a douche.

Your points are valid. But imo, if we can get anything for him that would help us fix(make better) our oline or D, i think we should take it. Hightower can go for a year as starter and it wouldnt be the end of the world.

No trigger. Im just tired of people in this country who think they are better than others and try to put other people down for no reason.
