Not a shot unless Loomis gets canned. He didn't want to get rid of DA. Neither team is good but at least the Jets have the stones to attempt to do something unlike our idiot GM

Job be damned I'd picking living in Vegas 10/10 over New Orleans.
Put alternatively: Just because a city is desirable to live in* doesn’t really factor into how attractive the Head Coach position is there.
*Las Vegas is not a particularly attractive place to live for many folks.
The Saints position sucks because of Loomis/Lauscha and Gayle’s ineptitude both historically (where the organization is now) and the probability that this ineptitude will continue going forward. That’s why the Saints are nobody’s first choice.

That's hard to have a blanket statement over.
Coach A it may not be a factor
Coach B may absolutely take it into account.
But I find it very hard to believe environment is not a bit of a factor for people.

Totally disagree with this. Coaches live a good part of the year where they coach. I bet it’s a pretty major factor. Not the main factor but a big one.

Many of us have been saying this for weeks now. Saints were 7th or 8th out of 7 or 8 open positions. Some tried to argue they were above LV & NYJ, but it was always a stretch to list the Saints higher than those openings.
To be fair, the only reason the franchise had room to fall was because Loomis brought in Payton. Pre Payton, this was not an ideal destination (for other reasons) and had always been towards the bottom of anyone's list. Where he tanked it was going from Payton to a bottom tier coach because he half-assed the process in an effort to run it back

The Jets literally hired a DC with zero head coaching experience to replace Saleh, a better DC who was actually showing some progress as a first time HC.
Exactly

NYC, Vegas, or New Orleans... If where you are relocating to is a factor, NO is a distant third.
