Probably just got it looked at and had a minor procedure to drain fluid. If it was serious he wouldn't be at a bar, in public for people to take pictures of him.

The Saints employ their own PT. They wouldn't simply let a high valued signee go down for just a PT visit. With that said, he may have had a post-op visit or two.

I think the real concern here is for the organization to take a look at its strength and conditioning coach/system.
I know injuries are part of it but it's going past simply being "snake bit" this is every season.

According to this metric, Adjusted Games Lost, we had the 9th best luck with injuries, 20th in 2013. Seems about average over the last two years.
It's football, these things unfortunately happen.

A poster on SR said he just had fluid drained and was keeping it elevated for a bit.
