If he's there late rounds its a no brainer. But no way before 3-4.

I've had this opinion for a while as well.
Even with his issues, I'd take him in the 5th. If he's unable to turn his character question marks around, then so be it.
QB is just too important to pass on a guy who is a legit candidate to be a starter in the league.

What? He'll be the first tech QB drafted in 13 years.
The last TT QB drafted was in 2004 in the 7th round.
Man, yall are so predictable. I already knew they never had a highly drafted QB. They were always highly thought of until they hit the Combine and Pro Day where they were exposed and dropped to the late rounds or UFA.
I dont know much about Mahommes so I yield to yall. My only point was that I would approach with caution, any QB from a system like Techs.

I remember when everyone wanted Kliff Kingsbury when he came out of Tech. He didn't do shite in the NFL.

Mahomes (32/42)
Kelly (6th round)
Either one and I'm happy as either could be the future.
Chad Kelly is Mahomes with off the field concerns

So then if a must have defensive player is there at 32/42 we just take CK late?

You wouldn't run to your brother's aid if you saw him in a fight? Not for or against chad kelly, but this is overblown. coming from a guy with a little brother, i'd think less of him if he didn't want to help his brother.
Not if you're the starting QB at an SEC school.. there are different ways of going about it.. he chose the thug life, the thug life didn't choose him

They literally haven't had a QB drafted since this guy was 9 years old. So "dropped to the late rounds" is also BS.

it seems to fool NFL scouts who have the starting QB for Tech in the first 3 rounds every few years
Show me the last tech QB that "NFL scouts" has in the first 3 rounds. They haven't had a QB that was a household name in some time
Just admit you pulled it out of your arse

Approach any QB with caution. He's got the arm talent and athleticism to be good. Same thing about being system QBs were said about many guys including Brees and Rodgers.
I mean the entire SEC has 2 starting QBs in the NFL

Back in 2003 as the highly touted 6th round pick.

Just thought I would throw this in along with the list of incidents that you posted as well.

Agreed but the common theme among guys like Brees, Rodgers & Dak are the intangibles of character, work ethic, intelligence, charisma & leadership. Everyone always wants to harp on physical abilities which are great to have as a QB but there are certain characteristics that seem to be engraved in the best of best when comes to the QB position. Now you take those characteristics & place them in a winning environment along with coaches with the pedigree of developing young QBs (Sean Payton, Mike McCarthy, Jason Garrett) & you get All Pro, franchise type QBs in return. Mahomes fits that mold while on the other hand, Chad Kelly does not.

If you are trying to get PAID millions of dollars wouldn't you be nice.....Especially if you have a checkered past from Clemson to Ole Miss. He's no different from the other players we crucify on here who done less henious crimes.

Does the NFL even test for weed anymore? I would say 65% of the league smokes.

To some old dude next to you in rehab? I don't really see the motivation in that.
I'm some dipshit on a message board. I doubt any scout or NFL exec cares if I like or talk shite about CK.

Neither would I. 6th round would be good value, but I'd pass.
I like Mahomes at 32 & Peterman at 76.

I think he's the best QB talent in the draft.
