CBS Mock Draft: Saints select Kenny Pickett, QB, PITT

Never heard of this dude tbh. This seems like a weird year to need a QB in the draft.
Corral, Howell, Hartmann are all interesting prospects but they don’t have the typical pedigree as top of the draft qbs. I wonder if our scouting department will like anyone more than the guy we just drafted, Ian Book.
If we can’t get Rodgers or Wilson and don’t want to retain Jameis, I wonder if we will look towards the next tier of QB’s like Teddy, Garropolo, Fitzpatrick, Dalton, Goff, etc.

Pickett has been one of the top 5 favorites to win the Heisman for the majority of the season lol

TBH, I watch State and LSU. That’s about it. My overall interest has waned bc State lost a bunch of close games and LSU was a tire fire. Overall college football has lost its luster for me. The same 4-5 teams are actually good every year and that’s that.
On Sundays, I watch the Saints, Bengals (Burrow and Co), and sometimes the Cowboys (Dak- I’m a State Alum)
So, in short, Yes but No. I probably would not have heard of this guy until I started studying draft prospects.

This kid has incredible accuracy and takes care of the ball. The only knock on him is he has small hands. I would love this pick and have him sit for a year or two behind whoever we have starting.
