I know, pretty far fetched, but I believe the skill set is there. CSP would have to definitely adjust.

Stop running that outside sweep for one. Or sweep to one side screen to the other. Anything but what their doing now too predictable they need at least 2 rpo passing plays for him.

I love Hill’s athleticism, versatility, and toughness. That said, I’m not sure he’ll ever be a starting QB in the league (based off an admittedly small sample size)

NO!
Taysom is athletic but he is not as athletic as Lamar Jackson.

People rave about Teddy Bilgewater throwing five-yard checkdowns but Taysom Hill can't be a starter in this league?

Hes Tebow reincarnated.

Way bigger tragedy that Tebow was black balled from the NFL than it is that Krapernick has been

I didn’t think Jackson would be very good. I’m eating crow.

we could have drafted Jackson

Jackson would not have fit SP's offense. And SP would not have re-designed his system to fit Lamar.

At his pro day, Lamar threw high and wide on routes outside the numbers against air (no defenders). Sideline back shoulder throws, for example, are an SP staple.

Notice all of Jackson's big passing plays tonight happened inside the numbers. His (few) incompletions came when he threw to the sideline.

Lamar is with the right team.

Why? He has specific plays for Taysom hill. He calls a different game with Bridgewater. He’s said he’d adapt the offense to whoever the QB is post Brees

quote:

But Payton did stress the point that the Saints wouldn’t rule out an athletic dual-threat quarterback like Jackson just because they have run a different style of offense with Drew Brees over the past 12 years.

“There’s not gonna be another Drew Brees clone that we draft. ... One of our jobs is to look closely at what that player does best,” said Payton, who said it would be the same with current Saints backups Taysom Hill and Tom Savage. “If he’s your quarterback, you start looking closely at what he did well at Louisville. ... They’re different athletes, all of ‘em.”

He was pretty spot on on jackson as well

quote:

“I like him. I like him. He’s athletic. He’s got a magic smile to him. He’s a leader,” Payton said. “With Lamar, you feel it in the room and you can tell he can lead. ... He’s a special guy. You just have to be around him, interview him, and you can see why he was successful

This happens every year. Last year was Goff and Baker. A new young QBs comes on and has success, and then the following year struggles. The media just eats this shite up. Lamar is not that good he is just benefitting from the scheme. Some one will figure out the blueprint to stopping it and it will be RG3 all over again.

At least this is better than the thread that said Taysom was basically Russell Wilson.
