Can someone explain to me your logic on why Williams "deserved" that TD?

How does a player deserve a garbage TD because he didn't actually score one all year? How is that "deserved" or "earned"?

From the sample I saw this season, Williams didn’t deserve anything.
The TD was just a way for Winston and the other players to stick it to Dufus.

I was wrong. The team really believed Williams deserved a TD for his hard work. I thought they were strictly giving the business to DA. When you’re wrong, you’re wrong.

Watching Williams get 2 yards a carry over and over while miller looked electric makes me wonder if Williams even "deserved" a carry, period

I don’t mind scoring a TD on the last play of a blowout win. So what? It’s on the defense to stop it.
BUT… and this is a big BUT…
This was a TD run out of the victory formation. To me, that’s unsportsmanlike. When you look like you’re going to take a knee and the defense concedes the time to you… you’re not supposed to pull stupid shite like this.

he didnt deserve it because of anything that happened during the game by any stretch.
he got hurt in the 1st game of the season and was fighting hard to get healthy and back onto the field. that only happened for our final game. the players wanted to gift him a TD as a reward for working so hard all year fighting through injury. that was why they wanted to do it.
it was a team thing and had nothing to do with the game itself

Yeah, if "deserve" is the criteria, then he deserved nothing. Score one at any point in the other games he played.
