As long as we don't overpay for him...yes.

Yes, we need a placeholder for Brees until we trade up for Trevor Lawrence.

Probably not. He’s not terrible but I don’t think you can win big with him. Too hesitant to throw down field. Captain check down

The saints aren’t paying him that much while they are in win now mode unless he is capable of doing that. He made a lot of very good throws yesterday.

A former #1 pick that was playing well in MN until the injury. He certainly has the potential. We are so spoiled but have to accept the fact we will not always have a HOF QB.
The game is changing as more RPO QBs come out of college. Brees type of play is fading quickly.

Unfortunately, I think so. He will lead us to several 7-9/8-8 seasons before we cut bait and try to find someone else

Yes. I don’t think he was hesitant to throw downfield. Looked like he wanted to on every play. Receivers couldn’t get open. Not sure that’s on him.

Well you could definitely see TB looking downfield a lot before checking down. Couple times they did replays from the secondary camera and one of the guys would say something like yeah nobody was open, smart to dump that off

I know I saw the same thing, Mentioned in the thread last night it looked like he was holding on to the ball about .5 secs too long.

Was just wondering if there were any articles I missed taking about it, especially since that was a huge issue last year and the Saints appear to be trying to fix that.

Everytime he plays its behind a backup offensive line seems like. We just have to see how he is with the real bullets flying and with all the starters.

Seems more like a game manager. Good backup but I don't see him as a good starting QB.
