The Saints gave those people who had to directly deal with Katrina something to hold on to. To be inspired by. Does it make them better fans, i don't know maybe, maybe not. I do believe it makes them more appreciative fans. Your entire world in chaos and commotion and the only bright spot for you is to cheer for a team you truly love is absolutely commendable. We are all fans and should enjoy what this team is doing and has done since Katrina. The people who went through the tragedy needed something to hold on to and our beloved Saints gave them that.

While I have a soft spot in my heart for everyone that had to deal with the Katrina mess, I don't find anyone to be a bigger Saints fan than Me. I can't travel with the team, I haven't been to a bunch of games in the Dome, either. I don't wear Saints clothes all the time, I don't have Saints stuff all over my vehicle, and I don't have a room dedicated to them at my house. I just don't feel anyone could be more emotionally attached to this team than me.

However, I was at the playoff victory against the Rams when Akim dropped the ball. So, theres that.

Great thread Lester,MDS,and O'Rly great insights...Being from Lake Charles we have to deal with the Cowgirl bullshite, natural born Saint haters, and yes bandwagon fans. Never in my life have I seen so many people claiming to be Saints fans knowing they were just talking shite about them just a few short years before. But it does not make me less of a fan because I am not from New Orleans or not living in the area
