I believe the SP part. It's not far-fetched to believe Sean Payton wanted to pull off the switch and become Miami's HC. He's been photographed many times in nightclubs in tropical areas.
And Miami is a cool big city that has everything: ocean/beaches, Latinas/night life, skyscrapers, Fortune 500 businesses/billionaires/millionaires, Little Havana/Cuban culture, etc. Much more attractive setting than Dallas. I'm surprised more FA players don't flock to Miami.

That classify Brady as part of league management and as a unionized employee. Which is not permitted under the NFL-NFLPA CBA as well as federal labor law.

Doesn’t take very long for novelty to wear off. After my second day in Miami I was over it. Take away taxes and politics and I’d choose California any day over Miami.

To each his own, but imo, Miami combines multiple different aspects that are the sole main draws of multiple different cities. I'm not sure how it's a novelty, especially for celebrities/athletes who might have they dough to indulge in its variety.
-South Beach offers nightlife/unique architecture much like an equally unique trip to the French Quarter.
-Little Havana offers a deep dive Cuban cultural experience much like one you might get in Chinatown or Little Italy.
-A very clean, cosmopolitan, high fashion & gourmet city much like San Fran & L.A. used to be.
-The bays/marinas offer the exclusive millionaire yachting club life found in areas on both coasts.
-Mega-mansion compounds can found both on the beach & inland, not just inland like, say Dallas, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, Philly, etc.
-Tropical weather year round. No snow blizzards, levees breaking, earthquakes or wild fires. Just the annual close-call hurricane threat/graze.
-No state taxes. You'd think new money athletes would like this more than they do.
-And for a large metropolitan city, it's politically more conservative than you'd think bc of the many residents that fled socialist countries.
I could go on. Maybe if you prefer mountainous settings to paradise settings, I could see somebody not liking Miami. Same goes for dry climate preference over a humid climate. But Miami offers a combo platter of experiences for millionaires that one-note big cities can't compete with, imo.

Miami - the only American city where you can lay on the beach and hear Portugese, Russian, Spanish, English, French, and Italian all in one afternoon session.

Miami is an interesting place. Cool city, but they being said, would not be my first choice on places to live.

The NFL has rules against that. Even a verbal quid pro quo or wink wink deal is against the rules. Plus the NFL has to approve any ownership changes. So even if it was not against the rules, it’s unlikely that the NFL would approve it.

Staying in Miami Beach next month for a week. Visited a lot of places but Miami is my favorite so far.
