Yeah this happening this late means there is probably a chance the game gets postponed until a day or two later. Hopefully it’s a false positive.

How many positives does it take to cancel a game? Or is it based on how many injuries the team already has? I just wasn’t sure, seems we’ve had 2-3 people out for COVID or maybe I’m wrong on that?

It’s not so much about the positives but about the people they were around. I believe if you are around somebody that had it then you have to quarantine and pass three straight tests 24 hours apart. Don’t quote me on that but I believe that’s the case.

Wonder how long it'll be before we find out if the game has to be moved to... say... Monday night

As soon as Denver comes up with the number of players who came in contact with those people I believe they will report it to the league. I’d assume that will be early today.

Just saw on NFLN's bottom line that back-up QB Jeff Driskel is the positive player

Drew Lock is "not considered a close contact"

Y’all are so dumb. It’s not about death rate. It’s a contagious virus so if it goes unchecked in a locker room, the whole team would be out for a while. Even if it was the flu it would be a big deal if half a team got it.

It's about the fact that there are currently over 90,000 people in our country hospitalized with COVID. Our ICU nurses are mostly working 72 hours a week, and so hospitals are canceling needed surgeries again, because they can't put people in an ICU after surgery if necessary.

BS. I'll guarantee you there's been games where one or more persons had a serious case of the flu or common cold/flu-like symptoms, needed antibiotics/fluids, and maybe even still played by gameday, along with half the team that also got infected but never got tested since their immune system made them asymptomatic or somewhat sniffly/achy.

The difference is, you don't cancel games because of an airborne contagion that is not life-threatening or performance-altering (to their age group or physical conditioning. Hell, actual influenza is more deadly for fit 22 to 35 y/o's than COVID, yet there's never been a game cancelled when one player was hospitalized.)

1. Tigerdroppings posters
2. Politicians
3. Talk show hosts
4. Infectious disease experts / Scientists

Not due to people being sick and feeling like shite, but due to the league forcing them to be out. Same with the shutdowns.

Yeah, it might be contagious but so is the flu, colds, other viruses going around. And football players play with a lot worse than that. You have some players playing with broken fingers, torn muscles, Brees played a game and a half with broken ribs and a collapsed lung. You think they're gonna want to sit out because they have 99 degree fever and can't smell or taste anything?

And the reason that everything is shut down is the premise is that this thing is "so deadly". People are freaking out thinking that since it's so contagious that if they get it that means they are automatically gonna die from it. You have much greater chance of getting hit head on in a car than to die from Covid 19.

That's the point of posting the numbers of what is supposedly "so deadly".

Sounds like their entire QB room is now in question due to contract tracing from Driskel testing positive

Lock, Bortles, and another guy were all sent home today and not known if they will be available for the game
