Agreed. I thought the same thing. He had a clear line to the endzone. One of those overlooked plays that absolutely influenced the game. That was a game saving tackle by Brees.

you don't think Kelemete was going to catch him?

No question. If he doesn't jump on him when he does, it's a TD.

Brees is a football player. A lot of QBs would have retreated and tried to make the tackle 5-10 yards downfield. Brees naturally knew his chance to bring him down was right then.

It's plays like this that separates Brees from the other so called GOATS like Brady, Manning and Montana.

I'm surprised it isn't being talked about more. That tackle saved the game. Then Lutz had to make a tackle too. This was one of those games where the ball did bounce our way.

An OL catching a DB? Hell nah.

And if you look back and see who was on the field. Coleman would have been the only one able to catch him. But we seen his speed on his catch earlier.

Brees brought the hammer and took his arse down. You know he was like "Yeah Bitch, sit your arse down".

Cam isn’t a great. He’ll go down in history as a mediocre QB

Coleman would have been only one with a chance but likely not running him down.

Great effort but by brees but after he put hands on him another saints player was going to get him down anyway... again that doesn’t happen if brees doesn’t make the effort

Looking before that Brees saving tackle #90 had hands to the face on one of our o-line man which could have been called to negate the fumble.
